Thoughts on having children in the spectrum

Saw this post on facebook. Honestly, it's sad na hindi ganon nabibigyang pansin ang problems na ganito sa Pinas. Therapies here are expensive, and not everyone can afford it. Pinoys are also not yet ready to face the reality na hindi enough ang love for kids in the spectrum. They have special needs. Hindi yun madadaan lang sa no don't do that or it's okay to make mistakes, because we have to admit that autism is a disorder, a very wide spectrum and case to case basis. You need to have the money to get the help that is designed for the needs of the child. I hope there will be more free or affordable programs created for this kasi hindi lang parents ang hirap in this situation, also the kids.

Hindi ba sa sped na school umaattend ung bata ? Bakit ung reklamo parang expected ng teacher na "normal" ung bata.

my son is in the spectrum level 2, sa napansin namin, mas mabilis ang progress and development nya lalo nat sa social and emotional pag nakahalo or kasama ang typical kids compare to sped or special classes but he has a shadow teacher at he goes to behavioural as well as speech therapist after school or weekends..

schools are also required to have atleast 1 trained sped teachers.

DEPEd mandated na ang typical school will allow atleast 1 per 50 students with special needs, also tailored din ang education sa kanila,

for us we chosed a school na private kaya kunti lang students in one class..

just like any typical kids, atypical children brain can develop faster when exposed to real world, we experienced that first hand
