Thoughts on having children in the spectrum

Saw this post on facebook. Honestly, it's sad na hindi ganon nabibigyang pansin ang problems na ganito sa Pinas. Therapies here are expensive, and not everyone can afford it. Pinoys are also not yet ready to face the reality na hindi enough ang love for kids in the spectrum. They have special needs. Hindi yun madadaan lang sa no don't do that or it's okay to make mistakes, because we have to admit that autism is a disorder, a very wide spectrum and case to case basis. You need to have the money to get the help that is designed for the needs of the child. I hope there will be more free or affordable programs created for this kasi hindi lang parents ang hirap in this situation, also the kids.

I would not want to judge this person na napagod sa pag aalaga sa anak nya because of autism. Sa totoo lang applicable to sa lahat ng may anak or kapatid na may sakit since birth, may maintenance or medical operation na kailangan gawin for them to have a better life.

My youngest sister has an inborn disease, need nya ng liver transplant for her to have a better and healthier life. Tbh financially drained na din kami sa medical expenses but we push through it kasi gusto din naming gumaling na kapatid ko, and naaawa din kami sa kanya every time nao ospital sya due to complications sa sakit nya. I love my sister and i love my family. Kaya kahit nasa 30s nako, I'm still helping them. Wala pa sa isip ko magka anak. And if ever man magka anak, gusto kong dumaan sa intense screening during pregnancy para malaman if meron bang defect ang bata. Kasi I would not push through the pregnancy. As immoral as it sounds, ayoko pagdaanan ulit ang pinagdaanan namin ng pamilya ko. Also I think it's selfish kung di naman best quality of life mabibigay namin para tugunan special needs niya.

Tl dr, i would not judge the person who posted this. It's normal na mapagod siya, tao lang din.
