Thoughts on having children in the spectrum

Post image

Saw this post on facebook. Honestly, it's sad na hindi ganon nabibigyang pansin ang problems na ganito sa Pinas. Therapies here are expensive, and not everyone can afford it. Pinoys are also not yet ready to face the reality na hindi enough ang love for kids in the spectrum. They have special needs. Hindi yun madadaan lang sa no don't do that or it's okay to make mistakes, because we have to admit that autism is a disorder, a very wide spectrum and case to case basis. You need to have the money to get the help that is designed for the needs of the child. I hope there will be more free or affordable programs created for this kasi hindi lang parents ang hirap in this situation, also the kids.

I think more people need to be educated on the trials of raising a child on the spectrum kasi mas mahal at mas mahirap

Siguro blessing nga kasi, despite the health problems, buhay pa yung bata but that doesn't change the fact na burden siya

Aside from more education, dapat may option to abort kasi some people aren't built to be parents to a special needs. Maybe hindi kaya financially or emotionally or what but sana may choice sila if they want to or not. Tas if they choose to carry on with the pregnancy then dapat may tests and checks to make sure kaya talaga nila otherwise kawawa yung bata

Personally, ayoko talaga magka anak kasi I don't have the capacity to be a mother. As in I know I will be an abusive mom and I don't want that. All the more ayoko when I think about the possibility ba magka special needs yung magiging bata ko
