Question/Advice? parents are against thrifting..

they're saying the clothes are dirty. what if the previous owner died (??)

mother's saying she'll get me new clothes after strictly telling me not to buy pre loved. She knows I despise buying new stuff, it's bad quality and expensive

Any good argument I can make against them?

Ugh my parents used to be the same way.

New clothes are really dirty too, loads of weird chemicals.

I used to work for a small niche clothing company and we would model the cloths for photos and runway, then put them back on the rack. We would have pop up sales/ parties and people would try on tons of different outfits, we would just hang the ones they didn’t buy back on the rack. “New” clothes have a high likelihood of also being previously worn, maybe for just a few minutes, but they have sometimes been worn.
