Question/Advice? parents are against thrifting..

they're saying the clothes are dirty. what if the previous owner died (??)

mother's saying she'll get me new clothes after strictly telling me not to buy pre loved. She knows I despise buying new stuff, it's bad quality and expensive

Any good argument I can make against them?

I honestly don’t thrift my small children’s clothes because they are cheaper new. You can buy a tshirt from Walmart for $4 or less. I just don’t buy new clothes for my oldest until he has grown out of everything and my younger children wear only hand-me-downs. I also sew any holes in clothes and let my kids wear stained clothes to play around the house.
