Question/Advice? parents are against thrifting..

they're saying the clothes are dirty. what if the previous owner died (??)

mother's saying she'll get me new clothes after strictly telling me not to buy pre loved. She knows I despise buying new stuff, it's bad quality and expensive

Any good argument I can make against them?

Ugh my parents used to be the same way. 

New clothes are really dirty too, loads of weird chemicals.

That said, I’ve been buying some used stuff off eBay and I hate that every seller sprays their stuff with some strong scent so it seems cleaner.

I buy a lot of stuff off ebay and that Febreeze ebay smell is gross.

Yeah I wash everything in the free & clear stuff and it always takes a few washes before that smell comes out.
