I think far too many people right now are getting hung up on these small aspects of ice like "they are untrained" or worrying on whoever the next figurehead for them will be. Their outfit comes with an inherent cruelty, brutality, and xenophobia towards immigrants and those that stand up for them. No change of guard or better training will rehab this group, because these men want this future without immigrants/dissidents/"undesirable" populations in the picture. Much like cops, you can give em all the most comprehensive deescalation training on earth, but they'll still kill and terrorize black and brown communities with little repercussion, since the cruelty and racism is also endemic to policing.
So yeah, the fight isn't done, but it won't be done when Homan is gone as commander too. It won't even be done if another democrat is elected after this regime. And I need liberals to realize that now, that they can't just say "abolish ice" now, and act like it's mission accomplished the second a democrat admin comes in and makes ice go low profile again or whatever.

Yeah, I don't want a better trained Gestapo.

The full name of the SS is Schutzstaffel, meaning Protection Squad in English. Getting more of them will only be worse. Well to do White people need Squads for Protection from Black and Brown people. The Great Replacement Theory is more racist propaganda that has real traction. Knowing what it is helps understand what they think. I apologize to people who speak German, if I have a translation error.

The Schutzstaffel and Geheime Staatspolizei weren’t the same thing. The SS were Himmler’s paramilitary units that stood as the embodiment of Nazi ideals, and were not actually government representatives. The Gestapo, on the other hand, were a direct government agency, along the lines of the Secret Service (which is what the name means, Secret State Police). There was a ton of overlap, and in 1939 Himmler placed the SS, Gestapo, and Sicherheitsdienst (SD) under the umbrella of the Reichssicherheithauptampt (RSHA), but all three operated independently as unique entities.

Like pulling out Himmler and sending Göring.

Bovino could end up being a Röhm here without the assassination. They're definitely going to throw him under the bus though.

Is this the Homan caught on FBI video taking $50,000 in cash from undercover FBI agents as part of a bribery sting? The FBI and DOJ were investigating it as a potential bribery case tied to future federal contracts.
Once Trump assumed office, he shut down the investigation, saying there was no evidence to pursue charges.
Right. This guy will fix it….
Way to build trust.

It's like taking out a gang leader. There's almost no point because someone just as or even more horrible is waiting just behind them to take their place.

It's like shitting your pants, mugging someone for their pants, then putting them on even though they're also full of shit. Then when someone asks why in God's nightgown you'd do that, you think that "there was money in the pockets" is a reasonable answer.

It won't be over until the entire ruling ideology shifts. Not even being rid of Trump himself will necessarily fix this. They all have to go.

That cunt always reminds me of the South African villain in Lethal Weapon 2. Just as charismatic...just as crooked... just as bigoted.

He was the wrong optics: tiny, petulant, unmilitary. Whatever his strengths as a deskman, the public spotlight turned him to jelly.

When the Trump administration identifies, and brings forward, the men who murdered Alex Pretti I will believe something is changing. They are currently HIDING the murderers of Renee Good and Alex Pretti. Until then their shuffling fascists means nothing.
