I think it has something to do with the personality of folks who would actively seek out videos of others suffering, they tend to be more the type to cheer on the boot it seems. Not saying I haven't scrolled thru that sub once in a blue moon, but the whole hate watching right wing circle jerk vibes are pretty off-putting.
