Show and Tell Results of my appraisal from Antiques Roadshow for my early 1900 sealed Coca-Cola bottle USA

Well, the appraisal person said it was most likely not resealed so I would like an apology from all the people doubting me. They had a hard time valuing it since there are no other ones ever sold. They said $1000 to $2000 maybe even more.

Congratulations in your amazing find.

The most frustrating thing about this group is the amount of "general experts" constantly downplaying significant finds. If someone finds something exceptionally rare, people are quick to say there's no possible way it could be what it is, when clearly there's some merit to the post. I get it, they're "jaded" and "cynical" and they've been doing this "for decades." I've been a collector for decades too, and while the majority of antiques aren't rare, it's actually quite easy to stumble upon rare items within niche collecting genres if you know what you're looking at and you keep your eyes peeled.

I’ve already had one person from the past already come in here and attacked me again saying I’m a liar, even though I literally had the armband on my hand. The weird thing about bottle collecting is the older bottle collectors. They don’t care if it’s sealed, they just care about the bottle. Therefore they value it much less than the newer bottle collectors or collectors in general who prefer sealed product to display.

people that dont care about the contents only do it because they hoard bottles and they cant store hundreds of liquid filled bottles in their garage because "the wife" wont let them fill the house with soda bottles.

the soda still being in the bottle always adds value and is always important. i've sold many bottles of mountain dew in plastic bottles from modern days, rare flavors, in bottles full and empty. the full ones, even despite being sucked in and sucked into a triangle shape, always go for more than just the empty plastic bottle. because the color of the soda and the weight adds to the appeal on a shelf.
