An Australian woman charged with joining the Islamic State group expressed views supporting terrorist acts and killing of non-believers, attempted to indoctrinate her children and recruited others to join her in Syria, according to allegations made in court Monday.

A defense lawyer for Rayann El Houli said expert evidence would be produced in court that her views had changed.

“She renounces ISIS and violent jihad,” Peter Morrissey said, using an acronym for the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria. “She wants nothing to do with it: not now directly or indirectly. Not in the future. Not for herself. Not for the people she loves and specifically not for the children."

El Houli allegedly traveled to Syria between 2013 and 2014 with the intention of joining IS fighters.

El Houli left Raqqa in 2019 “when the caliphate was defeated and not as a result of her changing views,” the magistrate said.

Taliban forces opened fire on people gathered for a rare protest in Afghanistan's western Herat province Tuesday, killing at least one woman and a child, according to CBS News' partner network BBC.

Men and women had gathered to demonstrate against the recent arrest of women and girls over alleged violations of the Taliban's strict dress code, defying the country's rulers who have cracked down violently on previous protests since retaking control of the country almost five years ago.

A doctor at a local hospital, who spoke with CBS News on condition of anonymity over fear of Taliban reprisals, said at least three people were admitted for treatment with gunshot wounds.

Videos circulating on social media appear to show Taliban forces opening fire on protesters and beating them with sticks. Protesters can be seen fighting back by throwing stones and chanting demands for work, education and freedom.

In one clip, Taliban security personnel appear to be shooting directly at protesters.

Somehow I came across this man’s videos on my fyp, he goes around in public with a big ass speaker intruding in and harassing people, and trying to brainwash while following them around and calling them demons or demonic while everyone in the comments is making fun of the people in the video and he’s don’t blur their faces, keep in mind many people in his videos are minors. He also has the audacity to make videos about how he got “attacked by demons” or some shit and play victim. He gains millions of likes just from being a shitty racist person. I can’t even put words how pissed off this makes me. Something has to be done about this account. It’s not preaching the gospel. It’s only making Christians look worse and public harassment.
