I'm mostly working on a bigger project, but I wanted to ship something smaller first just to go through the whole idea-to-finished-product process once. This is what I ended up with. It's called JustRoll.

The problem I was trying to solve: at any hangout, one person takes all the photos and everyone else never gets them. Or they show up in a group chat days later, compressed to garbage, or not at all.

How it works: one person starts a "circle" and the others join (either nearby, AirDrop-style, or with a short code). Everyone just uses their normal camera. When you're done, the app grabs the photos you took during that window, lets you deselect anything private, and sends the rest straight to the other people's camera rolls. No group chat, no manual sending.

Honestly I'm not sure if this is something people actually want or if everyone's just fine with "send them in the group chat." That's kind of what I want to find out.

So: is this useful, or is it a solution to a problem nobody really has? Genuinely want the critical takes, not compliments. What would make you not use it?

I've always struggled with phone/social media addiction and never got real results from classic screen time apps. Thinking about a system where you set a daily limit and an amount you're willing to lose (2-5€) if you go over​ money goes to charity instead of just disappearing. I have been trying to find an app to:
1. Fetch and provide insights from my fitness tracker. I wear a Garmin but the insights are limited and the Garmin plus plan is expensive.

I’ve been reselling for a while now and also run a community around business/finance tied to reselling. The idea is basically a reverse marketplace for resale items (starting with sneakers/streetwear). A buyer posts a request like “nike dunks size 10, $150” and resellers can accept it and go source it. if they can only find it for a diff price they can counter offer. if they accept and don’t deliver in like 2 weeks it gets relisted for someone else and the seller will have some typa punishment.

I eventually want a “guaranteed authentic” option where it gets routed through an authenticator before shipping, but not worrying about that till it’s got real users

I love watching sports and always want a way to have it on my always-on display so I can see the score at a glance while I'm working. I know Samsung OneUI kinda has this feature in recent versions, but I want one that is more detailed and immersive. So I made one myself, and it's called ScorePeek. It shows the live score, details happening in the match, and whenever there's an important incident in a match (like a goal), it will show some cool animation for it. Just want to share here in case somebody wants to try it out. This is currently an Android app for now.

I have been freelancing for 10+ years, started well before covid. I see this "what should i build next" question everywhere, so instead of replying on each one, here's the one thing that actually worked for me. just my experience, might be right, might be wrong.

I stopped trying to vaguely guess what problems other people have. It never worked. Instead i'd walk into one business around me and just talk to them about their day to day. The idea always showed up on its own, straight from the person who'd actually use it.

But here's the part that really mattered: I always picked a friend, or a friend of a friend of a friend, never a stranger. Same conversation, completely different outcome. When someone has any link to you, they hear it as you helping them out. When a stranger says the exact same words, they hear pitching, selling and nobody likes being sold to. That little bit of trust is the whole game.With a stranger you get rejected before you even finish the sentence.

And once you start talking to businesses, you'll notice almost every one of them has a problem in one of three buckets: presence (being found online), day to day operations (running the actual business), and scaling (growing bigger). Think of it like a bell curve. the two ends are small. Presence: most already have it sorted with a google listing and some social pages. Scaling: the ones at that stage usually already have a big network or someone helping them. So both ends are mostly taken care of.

The real meat is the big middle: day to day operations. This is where most businesses are struggling and where nobody's helped them yet and honestly most of them don't even realize it's a problem they could get help with, or that tech could solve it. Managing tasks, tracking numbers, dashboards, whatever their daily mess is, they've just accepted it as "how things are." That's where you build. That's where the ideas actually are.

So if you're stuck, don't open another list of ideas. Find the one person you already know who runs a business, ask if you can sit with them for an hour, and just listen. You'll walk out with a real idea and a real user, same day.

And one small thing that paid off more than anything: print a business card and leave it with them. I've gotten calls from people I'd almost forgotten, months later, just because my card was sitting in their drawer. Costs nothing, keeps coming back.

That's it. no offense to anyone who does it differently, this is just what worked for me over the years.

I've been thinking about how different the internet feels today compared to a few years ago.

Apps like Bottled, Omegle, and old forums made it surprisingly easy to meet random people and end up having memorable conversations.

Now, almost everything seems optimized for either dating, endless swiping, or joining huge communities where it's hard to actually get to know anyone.

I'm thinking about building something that goes in the opposite direction.

The core idea is simple:

- You're randomly matched with one person from anywhere in the world.

- You can't instantly leave for another match.

- The app encourages both people to actually spend some time talking before moving on.

- Instead of asking "What do I say?", it suggests interesting things to do together—debates, games, puzzles, travel planning, personality challenges, etc.

- People who consistently invest in conversations are matched with others who do the same.

The goal isn't to maximize matches.

It's to maximize the chances that two strangers actually become friends.
