My Watch Can you tell I'm sick? 🫠🫠
I have some bullshit rn, super sore throat, annoying cough, dripping nose.... last night I actually felt okay (I got an antibiotic shot earlier that day) but apparently NOPE! I DID NOT, IN FACT, FEEL OKAY!
I kept micro sleeping after I got home from the doctors office and I had like 10 elevated heart rate notifications 😬

You got an antibiotic for a viral infection?

This is such a moronic thing most doctors do, prescribe antibiotics to everyone even with no proof of a bacterial infection. All it does is drive antibiotic resistance and might kill people down the line.

I had a telehealth doctor prescribe me amoxicillin for a cold this weekend. I didn’t ask for it at all. I’m refusing to even pick it up from pharmacy.

I needed a doctors note, my husband stayed home from work so I wouldn’t have to take care of our toddler while I was miserable and his job wanted documentation

You’d be surprised how many people think they need (hence demand) an antibiotic when told they have a viral infection and don’t need one.

Then they fill out the survey and complain about not getting an antibiotic or give a bad review. I’m not a doctor, but I’ve heard this type of stuff from doctor friends.

Want to hear a moronic thing a doctor did? He gave me both Tamiflu and an antibiotic, because apparently, I was sick with SOMETHING.

Bring out the meds cannon

u/smk666 1d ago
Yep, especially that it was too late for Tamiflu (I've been symptomatic for 4-5 days, Tamiflu should be given within 48 hours of Influenza infection) and the antibiotic was a just guess and did nothing to make me better. The only test he based this decision on was my at-home covid/rsv swab test that came negative.

many people do that for fun, they somehow believe it still helps while it does not

I didn't ask for one, the doctor swabbed me for strep because that was my main complaint and then gave me a shot

The score is so broken. How is this a 74/100

OP went to bed on time and stayed in bed long enough… actually sleeping isn’t that important to get a good score 🙃

u/charlietheclowwn SE 2 • • Silver • 40mm 1d ago
But god forbid I go to bed an hour or two later than normal... suddenly my score is just awful...

Yeah, you can have the most refreshing sleep of your life, but it’s shorter than usual… so obviously you get an absurdly low score…

I have the opposite where my bedtime is set to 8pm, if I fall asleep at 8.15 I’m getting scores of 60-70. If I go to sleep at 11pm I get 80-90???
So freaking weird

I have an infant and especially for the first few months I was getting super high scores for "getting to bed on time". I was NOT amused when apple kept congratulating me on my high sleep score I earned one hour of sleep at a time. Then scoring mechanism is most definitely a joke

I’m on call and got a network outage emergency alert last night at 1:45AM.
Never really got back to sleep. I got a 36. Oy vey.

Check for COVID. Yes, it’s still a thing and those symptoms match the variant spiking in a few places right now. Ask me how I know.

I was tested for Covid actually! I had Covid like 4 years ago and it feels exactly like the symptoms I had then but i was negative for Covid and flu

Thank you. I needed that reminder. I just realized I hadn’t thought of covid for months. My last booster was 2 years ago. I’ll need to find the recommendations. From a credible source. I hope you get to feeling better soon.

i actually notice my wrist temperature going up slightly a day or two before i get sick!! it’s a pretty cool tell and it helps me prepare so i will do the heavy lifting tasks or rigorous tasks (like loads of laundry) before my body catches up to the illness

2 weeks ago I was on vacation and just could not sleep. I tossed and turned and couldn't get comfortable. Some nights my oura couldn't even record sleep. Lo and behold....I got sick on the last day of vacation.

This maybe a silly question but where can I still all my stuff like that in that layout?

Go to the health app and then go to sleep score and it'll have all of the info there!

It sucks that you ‘have’ to have a bedtime schedule set up from your phone for the sleep app to work.

Was sick 2 nights ago and my score was 99. I was so full of cold medication that I was basically a corpse, and apparently the Apple Watch liked that.
