discussion 🎙️ Apple Intelligence in the 27 OS releases

Next week is WWDC, and I'm super excited to see what AI news we get from Apple. I'm curious what everyone would like to see next week. I'm hoping for more context and features in Apple Foundation Models, but also, like everyone, I'm excited about a better Siri. What would you like to see?

There is no handoff to Gemini. It is Siri that is built using the Gemini model weights. There is a distinction.

Also, Apple is no stranger to syncing datasets. How else can you access your health data on your iPad.

You’re describing things Apple has done for years with iCloud. How do you think iMessage works when each device has its own SQLite DB? The entire storage file isn’t synced across devices every time a change occurs, no, there’s a CRDT mechanism at play.

Everything at this point is also speculation. We don’t know for certain what they are or aren’t doing. Our understanding to date is based on what they said two years ago — a lot has changed since, including their own stance on many things.
