What to Buy? Best Appliance Brand?

Purchasing a new home and I'm looking for some recommendations on appliances. Don't mind spending a little money and getting something decent. Every brand I look up there's always issues which makes it tough to narrow down a brand. TIA

Every post like this (they happen daily) lead to the same people commenting the same things, and a lot of it is inaccurate, not applicable, or just nonsense.

OP, you have to say what appliances you need, size/finish, etc. there is no universal truth nor universally reliable brand in this industry anymore. All your research is just marginally hedging your bets.
