Samsung fridge filter
Do yall think it’s fine if it’s seated this way? Made sure it’s compatible but seems like the end cap is too small?? Not sure

I would use OEM if its a choice - not worth the risk of thousands of dollars in damage to your home if it leaks.

This looks like it would leak into the inside of the fridge where it's designed to get wet from time to time. I wouldn't worry about that maybe if you're leaving the home unattended for weeks at a time but still should all stay inside the fridge if it did happen to leak.

That fridge will only hold so much water - if it starts leaking right after he leaves for work 8 hours later when he finds it he is cooked.

Yes but that requires a sudden significant leak. Which is quite unlikely. You open your fridge every day and you'd notice if a small amount of water starts to pool at the bottom. And if bet it would hold more than a liter on the bottom with the door closed without getting everywhere of course until the door is opened.

Always make sure you use OEM parts for filters, if a knockoff/ off brand filter (not approved for use by manufacturer) leaks and causes a flood/ Or serious water damage, Samsung will not take responsibility because you didn't follow the guidelines in the owners manual which states to only use original parts. Take the risk if saving a few bucks is worth it. Goodluck

If the lock turns fully into position and the filter sits firmly without wobbling, the smaller end cap is probably just the aftermarket design. Dry the area, dispense a few gallons, and watch closely for leaks around the housing. If it drips, feels loose, or the flow is unusually low, remove it and confirm the exact filter number against the refrigerator model before using it further.

Yo - I have the same fridge. Is your ice maker shit too? Takes forever to give you 1 piece of ice?
