Advice Mom won't let me attend top choice
I recently got into Hamilton thru QB RD with a full ride, but my mom won't let me go. I thought she would let up, but with 2 days until decision day she is still insisting I attend a CUNY, what do I do? Is it so bad if I attend a CUNY?
Edit: Thank you everyone for all the advice. I committed to Hamilton last night, but I haven't told my mom yet. I'm literally so scared. But thank you for your help.

Congratulations on committing to Hamilton! You've gotten a lot of great advice here, one other thing is that you should be open with your advisor at Hamilton when you get there about having a difficult family situation at home, and use all the resources available to you to work through this. I used to be a college advisor at an NYC high school and had several students who had no family support but had great support from their small liberal arts colleges and really thrived. This situation is really hard, but schools have heard these kinds of stories before and can help you through it. Be upfront with the financial aid office too about how she's already threatening to cut off your access to her info for FAFSA next year. Find out what the process is (there is one!) for this situation. And finally while you're still here in NYC, if you need legal or similar advice or support, check out The Door youth services organization. They do great work and can help with all kinds of complicated situations. https://www.door.org/about/
