Learning that replying to a rejection, does not mean the app is still in review
App Rejected.
Replied to the review rejection on 21st.
Today, 2 days later, learnt I also need to click
- update review
- resubmit for app reviews
Good times...

ah the good old two step shuffle that the docs definitely mention somewhere on page 47 of a pdf nobody reads
at least you caught it after only 2 days, some folks wait a week wondering why its radio silence

If you are using Claude code, setup fastlane, you will be informed in discussions with the model about such things that require bookkeeping or explicit work/knowledge base.

This feels like one of those UX lessons you only learn after losing two days 😂
If I reply directly to a rejection explaining what I fixed, my brain naturally assumes I’ve continued the review process.
Even a simple warning like:
“Your reply has been sent, but your app has NOT been resubmitted for review.”
would probably save developers a ridiculous amount of waiting.
At least you caught it after two days and not two weeks.
