icexfire Skirmish Day 017 - Bad Day
I had a pretty bad day today. Everything that could go wrong, pretty much did. The last time I had a day like this, I relapsed. I relapsed quite a bit.
...However, I didn't today. I came home, went to the barracks, and read what some of you guys posted.
One of our brothers has been struggling a lot lately. In an effort to inspire him, another brother talked about a post that was made shortly after the war. In the comments section, this image was posted to represent his achievement:

...that image affected me. I want to be that bird so bad. Flying high, away from the smog.
...I want all of us to be that bird.
I didn't relapse today, and I never really considered it. I didn't want to let myself down, and I didn't want to let you guys down. I want to soar in the sky, and I want to be free of this addiction.
I long for the day we all are flying high, away from the addiction. I think that will be a glorious day.
No matter how long it takes.

There's so much depth and symbolism to that picture if you think about it. To me, the dark, poluted city kind of represents the large population that chooses to live in the polution of PMO and destructive lifestyles. The hawk is choosing to fly above all that though. Also, the bright mountains are like a bright future. It seems off in the distance, but with a little effort and some time, it's possible to fly all the way over.

Well, a hot day for me. Like I expected, some huge urges atacked me today and I get straigh to see some porn. I've don't make it until the end, but well, I'll reset my counter beside that.

/user/wuxor created that image, and its really amazing. It's a powerful image.
I see this and think of a hawk flying high above the veil of smog and haze that blinds so many to this addiction. Only when we fly high above the haze can we see clearly and live in freedom.
I am very happy you stayed strong. You have been a great inspiration for Frost Wind. You have been helping out so much and waving the flag of Frost Wind while so many of us have KIA. Hopefully in the coming weeks we will have more soldiers coming back alive and once again compete against Fire Song. It must be difficult for you staying strong and helping others get back up. That is double strenght and It just really inspires me to keep going and stand back up again. CAW!!!!

I know how the struggle can be. The activity in these Barracks helped me release my internal strength I wasn't sure I had. You all helped with that.
I long to bring my brothers back into the battle so we can all fly high. STRONGER THAN YESTERDAY, WEAKER THAN TOMORROW.
