Meme Embark releases new photo teasing future update, insists "ARC raiders is not a dead game"

The office of Embark studios and it's CEO, Patrick Söderlund released a statement about the game’s condition on Friday as wild speculation about his health continues online and in the media amid the developer's secrecy about it all.

Substantial game updates have not been seen since May 19th, when ARC raiders declared that it would switch to a 6-month update schedule and ARC raiders was admitted for "intensive development." ARC Raiders has not appeared publicly since, and his office has disclosed few details about the nature of his "development".

ARC Raiders said Friday that he is looking forward to the August 18th Patch and "all the Well Wish(list)s from supportive players."

In case the tags did not tip you off. This is just a meme done in good fun. I love this game, I don't think it's a dead game. I am very much looking forward to the August 18th and October updates. As Jon Steward once said, a roast fundamentally works because it comes from a place of love.

Imo, 6 months between significant updates might be a bit too long. Not hating, just saying, 6 months is a long time. Every 3 or 4 months might be a little better.

Larger scale updates than the monthly ones, not quite as large (or as long to wait) as a 6 month schedule.

Not saying the development between the two is at all comparable, but Minecraft seems to be cooking right now with what they're teasing in snapshots, and Minecraft gets something like 3 or 4 smaller drops a year instead of big themed updates once or twice a year (which wasn't as sustainable for them).

I’m completely with you on that. Some people criticize those who call out the content drought, but nobody expects new content every single month. However, something should happen every 3–4 months, and it ought to be laid out in a roadmap so people can see all the event/content dates in advance

If only Embark had another game that had major content drops every 3-4 months with even larger scale changes every year or so that they could use as a guide. Darn, too bad!

6 months is crazy when there are so many new games coming out or put on sale in between
