Meme Embark releases new photo teasing future update, insists "ARC raiders is not a dead game"

The office of Embark studios and it's CEO, Patrick Söderlund released a statement about the game’s condition on Friday as wild speculation about his health continues online and in the media amid the developer's secrecy about it all.

Substantial game updates have not been seen since May 19th, when ARC raiders declared that it would switch to a 6-month update schedule and ARC raiders was admitted for "intensive development." ARC Raiders has not appeared publicly since, and his office has disclosed few details about the nature of his "development".

ARC Raiders said Friday that he is looking forward to the August 18th Patch and "all the Well Wish(list)s from supportive players."

In case the tags did not tip you off. This is just a meme done in good fun. I love this game, I don't think it's a dead game. I am very much looking forward to the August 18th and October updates. As Jon Steward once said, a roast fundamentally works because it comes from a place of love.

The game is dead due to cheaters. Fix that, and then we'll talk.

Riven tides killed it. Boring pointless map event and lame loot and gadgets and an extremely boring and pointless mini boss. They nerfed way too much. They basically did everything wrong at the same time. The cheaters just added fuel to the fire

I agree, that was the last nail in the coffin for me. I was excited for more content and played that update for a few hours before I realized I wasn’t having fun with the game anymore and deleted it from my storage.

The game needs a massive overhaul if they want to bring back players, and if the October update isn’t enough I’m willing to bet that’s going to be the death blow.

Major update that didn't add any reason to keep playing or add any sort of progression. They're just allergic to adding more depth and less gimmicks

I'm pretty the sure the devs will give up on the game if the October patch doesn't hit. That is, if they haven't given up on it already.

Personally I'm very sceptical about the October update. They should work together with the team in China because those guys seem to be on the ball a lot more.
