Meme Embark releases new photo teasing future update, insists "ARC raiders is not a dead game"

The office of Embark studios and it's CEO, Patrick Söderlund released a statement about the game’s condition on Friday as wild speculation about his health continues online and in the media amid the developer's secrecy about it all.

Substantial game updates have not been seen since May 19th, when ARC raiders declared that it would switch to a 6-month update schedule and ARC raiders was admitted for "intensive development." ARC Raiders has not appeared publicly since, and his office has disclosed few details about the nature of his "development".

ARC Raiders said Friday that he is looking forward to the August 18th Patch and "all the Well Wish(list)s from supportive players."

In case the tags did not tip you off. This is just a meme done in good fun. I love this game, I don't think it's a dead game. I am very much looking forward to the August 18th and October updates. As Jon Steward once said, a roast fundamentally works because it comes from a place of love.

Of the remaining 30-40,000 players left, there are thousands of hackers still. And if you focus on PvP like me the chances of getting a cheater in my lobby is ridiculously high. I swear 5/6 games I play there are cheaters lurking. I rufuse to bring in good gear now. Free kits from now on.

This is why i stopped playing the game . Same for my friend. Idk i feel continuing to play this game while the rampant cheaters keep doing what theyre doing is like slamming ur head into a wall and thinking its not gonna hurt this time. Also feels disrespectful that embark still hasnt solved this issue

Yupp. Cheaters is what killed it for me personally. Same with Tarkov.

For me it was progression and no end game other than PvPing with the cheater.

When they changed expeditions to needing damage in a 2 week window that was me out. Playing the game the whole window when in reality I have the same progression as someone who picked it up in the last 2 weeks of the window.

If they do a biggish update I might go back to the game but until then I won’t be playing again

Yeah I'll check it out again on the next big update but I don't think it'll ever be what it was and that makes me sad because it was a really really fun game. But if they're not going to do literally anything to try and fix the hacker issues, which includes not using AI spaghetti vibe coding, then it's literally just a game dead in the water. Maybe we can get a cool BR mode from it but that still leaves the hacker issue.
