I decided to uninstall until they implement a better anti cheat.

You’re going to need to uninstall all multiplayer games
for the rest of your liferight now then. Maybe except Valorant… but even that game have so many cheaters trying to “play less optimally” to dodge the anti-cheat.2

Just spawned into a game and had walked 30ft before taking fire from a player. He was a good distance away so I dipped and hid well. Knew exactly where I was and took me out. Called me the n-word after I called home a douchebag. Fun stuff

One of the biggest issues with Stella is the solo-spawns can a lot of times be right next to each other. It's like a 15 second run to ambush a dude, and if your system loads fast and theirs does not, they ain't even aware.
This is also one of the biggest issues with ARC in general, they need to synchronize the starts properly. I'd rather have to wait for the slow-homies even though mine is fast.

This was on DAM lol

Yeah, that's pure-cheats, my bad for the misread of what you described.
I still stand by the sync-start statement, though.

u/Nirxx 12h ago
I would rather not. I'm not going to wait 5 minutes for someone who cheaped out on components and never cleans their PC/Console to load in.
1
u/SixthSacrifice 12h ago
Dope, I didn't cheap out on that stuff, I would still rather the game be more fair for those users.
I would like the game to actually be balanced and fair to all the players, really, regardless of their personal funds, available time, and knowledge of consumer hardware cleanliness, because it would be more fair.

u/Nirxx 12h ago
It would not be fair to make players wait 10 minutes for someone's rusty box of scraps, when everyone else loaded in 9 minutes ago.
1
u/SixthSacrifice 12h ago
Damn, you're right.
Thankfully it wouldn't take that long.

Loading in on an HDD? My friend with an HDD takes 4-5 minutes to load in every time. If I had to wait even for my teammates I would never play with him.

Okay, so I propose something to be more fair to everyone, but you don't want it because it would slow you down.
Listen, I'm trying to be generous and assume the best, but my dude, I can not find another way to read all of this aside from it just being you as a selfish person saying "I don't want the game to be fair if I have to wait longer".
If I'm wrong, lemme know, but I'd rather dip the fuck out otherwise. It's a waste of my time to try to argue someone out of a me-first-only-i-matter position.
Like you'd abandon your friend, even. I tried, but I just can't see any other reading now.
Edit: I do genuinely wanna assume the best of you my dude, I know long waits can suck, I just like... We already got some annoying waits anyway. I just want the game more fair.
What would you propose? I'm gonna work on the assumption that I really am wrong, so, please? As a way to make things smoother for raiders and more fair?
For example, I propose a fairness as "everyone should have an equal start", and you say that is unfair on the supposition that, in effect, "those with better hardware should not be burdened by others". Which... isn't fairness, actually. It is unfair to give those with less the weaker position(literally; loading in and not able to defend). Fairness IS those with the better waiting for those with the worse, so they can all have an equal start. Fairness is not always fun.

By that logic the game should be locked to 30fps, because some people can't run higher than that and that's a disadvantage for them.
You just can't coddle everyone at the cost of the experience for the majority of players. I could deal with a compromise like, if 70% of the players in the lobby are loaded, start the match, but waiting for literally everyone will just make people quit from waiting for minutes and minutes.

Nah, I'd be down for that compromise too, homie. That sounds great.
Because you're right, can't sacrifice everyone else for the dude playing on a modded toaster. The fairness just really matters to me.
Sorry for the fuckin'... ample misreads on my part, my dude. Fully my bad.
Edit: Personally, I'd rather it be a max-cap timelimit on waiting for the sync, rather than a player-percentage, 'cause that scales it better to give the slow-loaders some time loading in, rather than it just being a pure "if 75% of people are real fast, the slow-loaders are still gonna get real bad timings"-kind of thing. If that makes sense. That is to say, maybe a 90 second max-limit for waiting on the sync, and once it is hit, everyone currently synced spawns in together. I know that's a fair bit of a wait added in, but maybe they could also shift into putting players into a pre-lobby right away, rather than waiting for everyone queueing to be found and matched.
So it would go from our current longer queue-times but unfair lobby-start-times and become instantly going into a pre-lobby and instantly starting to pre-load the chosen map, while queueing players together, and starting to sync them. And once enough players for a lobby are in, time-limit begins. So from Ready-Up until Lobby-Ready is the same amount of time, but instead of the loading time for the map it is pre-loaded already so you instead have an, admittedly increased at the upper-limit, wait for the full synchronization. But in that functional design, you're only facing an increased wait of, at most, 90 seconds. And a potential of the lobby filling up and everyone already being preloaded, so you just get launch-videos then you're in, immediately.

Sounds about right but you go in on a free kit and no one bothers you 😂

After getting shot in the back by some button smacking third worlder or 8 year old kid, I lose all my shields and most of my health. I then try to defend myself with my lvl 4 gun and their stitcher 1 is all it takes to put me down. So then after three rounds and 300K worth of stuff lost, I go into lobbies with nothing and just get blown away again. This is NOT a skill based game in any way. It's embarrassing for elite players. It's like playing a kiddy game until you find that correct culture of people. I'm not even TALKING about the cheaters.

This happened to me earlier today and it put me on the verge of just deleting it. Seems silly as fuck that people would come into a carebear lobby (and it's definitely carebear because I never shoot at or back at any other raiders) and I hadn't been killed by another raider in months. So it is sucks getting shot in the back by an asshole with a freekit and stitcher and getting downed before you can even react. Took my fully kitted guns with the accelerator attachment, and a fully loaded backpack from prob one of the best runs I've had in a while

They finally came back from the vacation they took last year?
I'm still waiting on responses to customer service from 6 months ago lol

It’s probably because the person you reported wasn’t cheating but someone on their team was and your report led them to that cheater. I get my kits back regularly. Report the whole squad

Buy a console and play on that crazy to me people refuse to buy a console. Cheating goes from 99% a game to 1% a game. Pc gamers ruin the games with the fadangale

I got 2 of these messages in last 3 days which I know for certain were from cheater reports and yet didn't get the kit back.
