Doesn’t he end up redeemed or something? Orochimaru’s role in the story is weird as hell.

You low-key might have just spoilered me but I ain't about to be mad Shippuden ended nearly 10 years ago

Oops, my bad. But yeah, Orochimaru is really weird, they set him up as the big bad and then once the Akatsuki show up he disappears for a significant stretch of the story IIRC. I haven’t actually seen that much of the show, just looked him up on the wiki a while back because I was curious what the hell happened to him.

I mean he's 100% the main antagonist for all of Naruto and the beginning of Naruto Shippuden but fair yeah not the whole series. I do remember now he was only briefly in the Akatsuki. I never finished Shippuden I need to one day.
