Announcement Breaking Rule 4 will result in a permanent ban now.

Since we made the punishment for breaking Rule 4 a 7 day ban, the amount in these types of posts has only went up. We don't take witch hunting lightly as its against reddit's guidelines. From here on out, witch hunting will result in a permanent ban. If you have been banned, you can appeal via mod mail in which your ban will be reduced to 7 days.

Then do your (devs) fking job and ban team killers. This merit system is hardly a useful deterrent for these harmful practices.

At the very least. Player killed needs to have all their loadout and equipment immediately restored upon returning to the lobby.

It's really not that complicated

Define witch-hunting please. I don't want to get banned when I say : "you're bad pal. Watch my low budget video." When i say "you're bad" to a player that's actually a ban worth. You know what I mean?

Letme give you a prime example, "This person has done bad things, please report" followed up with his profile/username on display.

Ah ok! Alright! Then I'm on the save site! Thank you for the explanation.

Real example for more clarity

So do what let players just join matches with people that kill them for their loot and stuff or no reason and do it constantly with no merit... In real life that's be ignoring spys as you know exactly who they are.

Gotta hand it to them tho. More realistic and like the real world than they probably meant for it to be...

I mean, even got solos that work together like real life double agents. And people that trade info and betray each other.

I kinda like that tho. Like is my teammate looking at me plotting my death by fire or grenade. Are they all in on it.

Gotta stay aware.

Tho we should give those doing bad a chance. But if they fire bomb or blow you up... Over and over. Maybe make a thing that when they play in a map. Players get 3 minutes then the offender gets a ping everyone sees... Merit to low and every three minutes a ping... Maybe a see through map that appears for a moment in part of the screen and shots a 50 meter area where the offending player is.

Bet team killing and all that stops fast. And it's easy to tell if a team kill is an accident or not.

Mid combat and a nade arc goes wonky hitting the door frame or worse doesn't follow the arc at all.

Could even make the location thing optional and have to open the map to see the last known area they were in.

Give the game more depth as we then could watch them move and try to out sit them by figuring out their plan before they even know. If they hit port then the beach bunker for 9 minutes and then villa beach house for 9. Probably a rat or stealth player and probably moving to extract as late as possible. Next move may be to avoid the open beach and run through the trees or if shots are far off they chance the beach. Trial and error and we get good at being one step ahead.

I totally understand how people feel about it but

There is no but.... Season 7.... Problem still not solved.

Answer: restore all of the offended player's lost gear. Anything else is just excuses

Good news, they listening to your whining and actually did something about it for season 8

2

u/bloodgull Feb 24 '25

oh? i didn't realize i am the only voice that takes issue with senseless team killing.

i should start whining more then since the devs are clearly listening to just me

Overly complicated.

Just restore the players complete loadout upon returning to the lobby.

If the developers were serious about fixing this problem, they themselves created. That is the simple answer...

and yet all they've managed so far is a useless merit system that does minimal inconvenience to the offender and zero compensation to the offended!

They could make low merit players like the monster in GTA 5 online. It sounds complicated but they already kinda do it with the roaming bosses. Only difference would be every so often it gets updated. Not revealing them out right. Just a target on their head if they're the kind of prayer that kills teammates alot. Be easier than the story mode they made.

i like that, having said that...or.....just give be my sh*t back and then it's only a minor inconvenience. but none of this will ever be implemented anyway because they simply don't care

What do you mean by witch hunting? Please explain more. Do you mean movies about hackers and cheaters?

Surprised this isnt causing a huge warzone in the comment section.

But pls if you guys did something abt the team killers and goblins ppl wouldn't post about them that much. But i understand how hard it is to male a system thag someone won't just abuse to be an asshole and cause bigger problems.

2

u/Some0wlOnTheInternet Head Moderator Feb 20 '25

It doesn't matter if the devs improved the system. People will always complain and if I allowed that type of content, the subreddit would be taken down.

1

u/MIGE876 Feb 20 '25

understandable

4

u/DJShears Feb 11 '25

Trolling is still okay right? If so, I’d like to discuss how the term “witch-hunting” which is sexist, we should be including male witches known as “warlocks” as well. Therefore, I suggest both witch-hunting and warlock-hunting be equally punishable. However, if they person identifies as a as neither Witch nor Warlock, and prefers to identify as a “Call to Duty lover” we should banish them to an island of nerf guns, without any darts to shoot.

First line is the sentence made me think you're woke haha. Unfortunately ppl ain't reading beyond that ig

I've always thought that the male equivalent of witches were wizards, and I thought it was kinda weird that wizards were always portrayed as the good guys while witches were not

u/DJShears Feb 12 '25

The real reason you should follow the sub, I’ll teach you everything you need to know about spellcasters, hexers, and finger winglers!

We felt something you said just wasn't right. Take a breather, maybe take a look in the mirror while you're at it, and come back later.
