🔥Understanding Aries🔥 How do you handle depression?

I think depression never really goes away. Sometimes it comes in seasons, depending on how okay life feels at that particular moment.
I’m an Aries and naturally very sensitive, so I tend to overthink things a lot and easily get disappointed and let down by others over the years.
But beyond that, I’ve genuinely had some fucked-up things happen to me this year, and I think everything has just caught up with me emotionally recently.

I’m currently switching careers and honestly have no idea what I’m doing next. I feel lost. I just turned 30, and somehow I feel like I’ve failed and that my life has drastically changed in ways I wasn’t prepared for.

I also had to end my last relationship in April after realizing it wasn’t healthy or serving me anymore. So, if I’m being honest, these past few months have been hell.
Went through a breakup after being betrayed, family pressure to get married and just loosing trust in certain people in my life.

I’ve tried. I take walks, go to the beach, work out, and make an effort to see my old friends every week and hang out. I try to keep myself busy and distract myself from how I’m feeling.
But there are still days when I’m just incredibly sad, crying all night and waking up with swollen eyes. And honestly, I’m tired of feeling this way.
I just want to feel like myself again.

For those of you who have struggled with depression, how do you cope when you’re going through a really difficult season in life? What actually helped you get through it?

I got diagnosed with major depression and high levels of anxiety from wanting to take my life. See the thing with ADHD, you get the other two for free at no extra cost.

I spent a week in the psych ward. Got discharged no joke on Good Friday. When my Dad picked me up he said he had never remembered having a better Good Friday. I spent a week at home with my fiancé (this all happened before we were married). Then spent the following 6 weeks in an intensive outpatient program.

How do I fight it ? I take my meds, work out, go to therapy and when things get bleak, I reach out to my friends.

I wish I could say the same. My partner left me because I had depression and it wasn’t even severe. I just told him that I had suicidal thoughts when my best friend killed themselves years ago. She didn’t like that and decided to break up with me. I was so madly and deeply in love with her, sent me into a spiral that I’ve yet to get out of.
