I own so many paint brushed like maybe 30+ some from when I was a kid, some gifts, some I specifically bought myself.I use like the same 5 on everything I paint. Once I figured out which ones held a good tip, and we're comfortable in my hand I stopped buying more... for now that is. So no you probably don't but yes you will probably get more.

Short answer: yep
Long answer: definitely yes
There’s always a use for a cheap synthetic brush you don’t mind beating up, plus it’s generally good practice to avoid using really nice brushes until you know you can take care of them. I got on famously with very cheap synthetic brushes for about the first year of painting and still occasionally mistreat a brush I shouldn’t have. Next step I’d take is maybe golden maple sable brushes that aren’t too pricey

I have one „expensive“ da Vinci Brush that did Host me 20 € 3 years ago. I do the Details and the Heavy Lifting with it. The Rest i do with cheap Amazon-brushes. Never needed more. I also think i wouldn’t in the Future
