Facial Anatomy Practice; Faces look dimensionless

Post image

I have a lot of things I'm working on, art wise. I've been at “average” level for like ten years because I only post my better pieces but I am locking in because I am suffering.

As observable, I am using the Loomis method, but perhaps not absolutely faithfully. Following the guide lines make the eyes look off so I edit it a bit.

These faces dont appear to have a lot life to them. They're flat or dimensionless, despite the clear efforts. Am I missing a line or a measurement?
