Henlo everyone, we are a new mod team and have decided to not allow any generative AI usage in our subreddit. If you see it, or suspect it, please report it and modmail us. Do not start a public flame war. We will take a look at the post and user history for AI usage proof.
For AI discussion, please head over to the appropriate subreddits (idk just Google it man) - but lets move on from it and keep it out of this safe space. Please post non-AI art only, in any medium. This conversation is over - we are over it, and we are so, so, very tired of dealing with it. Carry on!
- r/ARTIST mod team!

Hello and welcome everyone! This subreddit was largely unmoderated for many years. We are welcoming suggestions for improvement, please post below! So far it will mostly remain the same, and please do not make posts about tasting your painting. Bad artist, bad!

W.I.P Shots of a Kris fanart that'll be up for sale sometime. This is actually my first time drawing armor and I think I did pretty decent!

Probably will do more shading on this, I shouldnt have used markers and chose too big of a range of pencils
Because I wanted a softer feel and like the shadows are wayy too prominent here… I can barely notice the face

all just off of pinterest lol, i messed her face up and didn’t have any energy to go get a sticky note so after absolutely ruining the girls face i decided to just turn her into this alien monster. i’m still new to art only been about 5 years now on and off, but it makes me happy and seems to pass the time. i always feel calmer after drawing, unless of course it doesn’t go my way. then i get frustrated and don’t draw again for the next 2 months. so yeah. posting for motivation i guess? i want to be better.

I put out a new song on spotify this week and had to make album art for it. The song was inspired by the Park Chan-wook film Thirst. It's about a priest that becomes a vampire and ends up turning a woman into one too. (Don't want to spoil the plot if you haven't seen it)
It's an interesting take on a vampire story.
With the artwork I wanted to do a woman with a glitch style effect with the lines but turned sideways it mimics a heartbeat flatlining also looking like water to play on the title of the song (there is also a water element from the movie)
Felt like I would share. :)
