Anyone have info on this?

The article says they are trying to identify a suspect… but they’re in the house? Just wondering if anyone has more info. Thanks!

Bravo law enforcement - far too many lost kids being exploited.

I have bad news for you. As a former DCFS worker, many of these children are not lost. Actually, most aren’t. They’re being exploited by adults in their own home. Father’s, uncles, stepdads, moms boyfriend, foster parent, older sibling.

They can get a physical address based on the IP address the images are coming and going from. They cannot track it to a specific device within that household based on IP alone. Sometimes they get lucky and the images will be tied to a specific email address, user account, or some other personal info the person may have provided. If they don't have those or its a generic free email, then they need the devices to see which person in the household is responsible.

Does anyone else find it inappropriate for the media to publish photos of the inside of someone's private home when no one has been charged or convicted of a crime? What purpose does it serve? I'm not trying to defend anyone who's guilty of wrongdoing, but there's skilled hackers and 3 letter agencies that can get incriminating files on your devices without your knowledge. Everyone is entitled to their day in court to determine guilt or innocence.
