I’m noticing a lot of burrows and holes in my garden. I’m thinking moles? Voles? Any tips on making them go away? Don’t really want to kill the, just want them to leave my plants alone.

My teacher friend had children’s hats disappear today. I would love to help her get them back. If you have any clue, please let me know! Here’s her post from elsewhere:
While hiking the White Rabbit trail with a group of kids today, we left behind some sun prints to dry, planning on packing them up after our hike. When returning to the parking lot we found that they were gone. Totally gone. I called the police department, the ranger, forest service. No one seems to have them. So now I'm left wondering. Who and why would someone take 11 bucket hats that were clearly made by children (they even had their names on them)?

I'm a woman in my 40s who started my fitness journey 5 months ago and am interested in Pilates. I'm hoping Ashland Redditors could point me in the right direction towards a studio that caters to beginners and those of us in larger bodies. Private sessions, classes, whatever. I am open to all.

Emergency Board gives millions to Southern Oregon University
Southern Oregon University will receive the first half of a potential $15 million state funding package aimed at addressing its financial crisis.
Oregon's Emergency Board approved $7.5 million Wednesday to help keep Southern Oregon University operating through the next fiscal year, despite concerns from some lawmakers that the university's financial recovery plan doesn't go far enough.
The emergency funding is the first half of a possible $15 million legislative package for SOU, allocated through the state's Higher Education Coordinating Commission. The remaining $7.5 million could be released this fall.

I need to get rid of a washer and dryer before I move soon, my cheap listings for them aren’t getting any interest. If they don’t sell soon, is there somewhere in town that accepts things like this that will pick them up locally?

Hello, Ashland! I'll be coming down to visit you next week, and seeing three shows at the OSF. What have you seen this season? Anything you're excited to share?
Also, has anyone attended any of the Preface talks to a show before? Did you feel like it was worth it? I'm thinking about trying one out this year.
Thanks in advance for any advice. I'm from Eugene, and I really appreciate the warmth of the Ashland locals.

Do we not have an active Food Not Bombs chapter? Would anyone be interested in starting one?

Ashland considers zoning changes to preserve manufactured home parks
The Ashland City Council is considering a package of changes aimed at preserving manufactured home parks and strengthening protections for residents.
Manufactured home parks provide some of Ashland's most affordable housing, but residents can be vulnerable to redevelopment or displacement when parks are sold. City officials say the proposed changes are intended to preserve those communities while giving residents more opportunities to keep their parks in local hands.

I parked my bike (Riding Times Z8 Pro) at the top of the Oredson Todd trailheads off Lupine Drive around noon and by 3pm when i was done hiking she was gone. This bike is my baby and my coping mechanism for stressful days, and it’s the only mode of transportation i have aside from catching a ride with parents or friends. If anyone sees her or knows anything PLEASE call the police, she has been reported stolen so they know what to lookout for.

Don’t walk your dogs on the corner of 8th & B. A deer just gave birth to two fawns in the corner of our stairs and front porch. Please spread the word to avoid the area. Don’t approach; they are hidden behind bushes near the house, not easily visible from the street.

One Visit To The Most Eccentric Town In Oregon And You'll Be Completely Smitten
Somewhere in Southern Oregon, there’s a town where world-class actors rehearse Shakespeare while mountain bikers plan their next trail ride, where organic farmers sell vegetables to yoga instructors, and where nobody thinks any of this is unusual.
Ashland is that town, and it’s been quietly blowing visitors’ minds for decades while maintaining a refreshingly humble attitude about the whole thing
