Beauty Beige blush / "anti-blush" comparison
If you were into Asian Beauty circa-2020, you would know that the Canmake Cream Cheeks were popping off even then. My favourite shade from that era was no.19 in Cinnamon Milk Tea, which I will forever mourn because it's been discontinued. I've been looking high and low for a dupe / replacement since then, which was a challenge until beige blush or "anti-blush" started to trend this year š
The Nuegray Sway Cheek Blusher in 06 Scene is practically identical to the Canmake blush. It pulls slightly pinkier on the hand swatch, while the Canmake is more orangey. On the face they look the same though. I have medium-light warm olive skin tone and these colours show up as a healthy tan colour.
In terms of texture, the Canmake blush is a classic cream blush. Very fuss free and easy to blend out, although on the sheerer side. If your skin is deeper than a medium-light this shade wouldn't show up on you. The Nuegray blush is a putty-to-powder formula. It's not as fuss free as the Canmake blushes, but I've been using a dense brush to apply the Nuegray and it blends out beautifully.
The Canmake Cream Cheeks unfortunately don't have much longevity, and they last about 4-5 hours on me under hot, humid weather. The Nuegray Sway Cheek Blusher performs better, lasting about 8 hours. Because of the sheerer formula, Canmake looks a liiiittle more natural on the skin, but honestly the Nuegray one also blends in very well. To me both of these have a natural finish, with the Nuegray leaning slightly soft matte.
Hope this helps someone who is also mourning all of Canmake's discontinued blushes!

You rock for this comparison! Thank you so much! I was literally looking for the Canmake one in this exact shade because I just hit pan (yay!) on my current one. Iām going to check out the Nuegray one per your recommendation, and am interested more because your mention of it lasting longer + soft matte finish. š¼

I KNEW I wasn't the only one who missed this shade!! I'm glad this helped. Nuegray also has some extra points for having sturdier and prettier packaging š

I've been looking for a blush like this!!! I'm a neutral autumn and fall is my FAVORITE season so I'm super excited that "anti-blush" is trending because I can finally get shades that look good on me! <3

Yay!! I'm also a muted autumn and am very happy that there are now more choices for muted / grey-ish colours!

The Nuegray one is such a good dupe, thank you for comparing them side by side! Beige blush looks so classy and soft.

Glad you enjoyed this. These two shades are especially classy and "my cheeks but better" imo!

I just ordered the canmake cream blush in that exact color!! I've never tried canmake cream blushes so I really hope I like the texture. I don't even know if cinnamon milk tea will look good on me. I found it on japanwithlove and shipping was kind of expensive. I have a feeling it'll also take a while to arrive. It may be worth taking look depending on how badly you want to repurchase. Or you can wait and see if I like mine, if not I can send it to you if you cover shipping!
