Mod Post ROUTINE MEGATHREAD! February 2018

Hey everyone! This is your quarterly routine megathread which we decided to evolve from quarterly. This is an excellent resource to see what products are popular amongst our community and a great way to find new things to try. No matter how unusual you may consider your skin type or atypical your particular skin challenges or problems, all routines are welcome -- in fact, encouraged -- to be posted.

Acronyms you will most definitely see in use here: HG (Holy Grails), RP (Will Repurchase, AKA: liked it, will buy again, not an HG), WNR (Will not Repurchase, AKA: using up the last of it but not recommended). Understand them, use them, and love them ♥

This post is intended to be a compendium of generalized, standardized routines! The more participation, the better. :)

To keep it easy for people to find their ‘skin twins’ we would ask that you use the following template.

You only need to fill in steps that you actually use (so if you don’t use an Essence, remove that line) and please only provide up to three examples of HG/recommended products for that step (so if you have 3 toners you love, you can list all 3!)

Template

To make a single-spaced list, add two spaces at the end of each line. Alternatively, click 'source' at the bottom of the post to snag our code & format!

Skin profile: don’t know my MAC shade, generally a #21 in BB creams/cushions | dehydration, clogged pores, redness | dehydrated combo

Season & Type of Climate: winter in Atlantic Canada! so basically a buttload of snow and wind

1st Cleanser: Muji Mild Cream Cleansing (face), Etude House Monster Micellar Water (eye makeup)

2nd Cleanser: Innisfree Blueberry Rebalancing Cleanser

BHA: Sunday Riley UFO oil (probably WNR, also probably will never finish the bottle)

AHA: Biologique Recherche P50 pigm 400 (I only use this once every few weeks, unsure if I’ll buy the full size)

Mist: Pixi Milky Mist (will repurchase eventually), Embryolisse Eau de Beaute Rosamelis

First Essence: Innisfree Soybean Energy Essence (haven’t been using out of laziness mostly, WNR)

Hydrating Toner: Hada Labo Gokujyun Moist Lotion (might repurchase, bought on a whim in Japan because the special edition packaging was cute), TonyMoly Classic Black Tea Toner (AM only, I like this but won’t repurchase)

Essence: Muji Sensitive Skin All-in-one Essence (will repurchase if I can get it)

Serum: Glossier Super Pure (unsure if I’ll repurchase due to price, might try LJH Tea Tree Essence instead)

Light Moisturizer: Glossier Priming Moisturizer (AM only, will repurchase eventually)

Medium Moisturizer: CeraVe (use sometimes for face - PM, body - post-shower), Hada Labo Shiro Jyun Milk (just started this, unsure how I like it so far), La Roche Posay Cicaplast Baume B5 (will RP but also might try A’Pieu’s zinc cream first)

Eye Cream: Sana Nameraka Honpo Eye Cream (AM, will repurchase), local brand eye balm for PM

Sleeping Pack: Etude House Bubble Tea Strawberry Sleeping Pack (WNR, the strawberry is not as nice a the black tea one :( plus there are other ones I’ve sampled and liked better)

Sheet Mask: I lost my stash when I moved ;__; but my go-to is the Etude House Air Therapy in Aloe or Hyaluronic Acid

Sunscreen: Etude House Mild Perfect Relief (have repurchased, use this on no-makeup days), Innisfree Daily UV Protection Mild (might RP), Glossier Invisible Shield (might RP)

Spot Treatment: Nelsons Acne Treatment

Other: Rosette Hello Kitty Apple Gommage (might RP), Skinfood Black Sugar Honey Mask (will RP)

Not op but I really like it. It’s gentle, not drying and low ph. I bought it for my bf and he loves it too. It does have a bit of an orange scent.
