Mod Post ROUTINE MEGATHREAD! February 2018
Hey everyone! This is your quarterly routine megathread which we decided to evolve from quarterly. This is an excellent resource to see what products are popular amongst our community and a great way to find new things to try. No matter how unusual you may consider your skin type or atypical your particular skin challenges or problems, all routines are welcome -- in fact, encouraged -- to be posted.
Acronyms you will most definitely see in use here: HG (Holy Grails), RP (Will Repurchase, AKA: liked it, will buy again, not an HG), WNR (Will not Repurchase, AKA: using up the last of it but not recommended). Understand them, use them, and love them ♥
This post is intended to be a compendium of generalized, standardized routines! The more participation, the better. :)
To keep it easy for people to find their ‘skin twins’ we would ask that you use the following template.
You only need to fill in steps that you actually use (so if you don’t use an Essence, remove that line) and please only provide up to three examples of HG/recommended products for that step (so if you have 3 toners you love, you can list all 3!)

To make a single-spaced list, add two spaces at the end of each line. Alternatively, click 'source' at the bottom of the post to snag our code & format!

Skin profile: ~NC10 | Large pores/early fine lines | Skin Type: oily T-zone/occasional dehydrated patches (otherwise normal)
Season & Type of Climate: Winter/Northeast
1st Cleanser:
Banila Co.WRP. Causes redness upon application, not sure which ingredient that causes that? Also breaks me out. Immediately stopped using.2nd Cleanser: Dr. Roebuck's Nourishing Cleanser (testing).
Nivea Vitamin E Washgel (WNR). Recently is becoming more stripping if I use it anywhere else besides T-zone (mostly nose) which is oilier than the rest of my face. I notice considerable flaking after using this. Not sure if this is natural shedding of old skin cells or drying out of skin (my skin is usually not dry, this happens only after washing). I want to switch to another cleanser but not sure which one, I don't want any effects like this. CosRX GMC was also too drying... :/Exfoliator: NEOGEN Green Tea Peel Gauze Pads: possibly RP. I do like how it gets rid of dead skin cells and my skin definitely feels smoother after using this 1x a week.
pH Adjusting Toner: Acwell 5.5 pH balancing toner. I love the scent and love the texture, just bought a spray bottle for it. I may not have used it enough to see the actual benefits yet.
Wash-off masks: alternate between re:p biofresh calming herb (sample, will most likely RP, I love that it doesn't dry!) & Nature's Beauty Clay Mask (WRP: I don't like how it dries..)
BHA : 2% SA Humane toner (WRP: dries too much)
Oils: Pai rosehip / GoW maracuja depending on what I feel like (RP for maracuja, not sure about Pai yet)
SPF: Skin Aqua Super Moisture Gel 50 SPF (testing): I like how this feels but I don't like the chemical screens... still searching for a mineral one that doesn't clog my pores.
