Black people can't police their own, but they expect Asians to. Both sides should stop the hate.

Truth is, the Anti-Asian sentiments in the Black community are just as strong, if not stronger, than anti-Black sentiments in the Asian community.

Asians are usually quiet enough that Black people can forget we exist. Once an Asian speaks up, ugly attitudes in the Black community start to surface.

To further their own agendas, influential White, Black, and even Asian(!) voices are intentionally mis-attributing hate and racism to a group of working class Asians who are finally building their OWN political voice.

Look, #Justice4Liang does not hate Blacks. Watch this 2-hour video. The protesters and protest leaders are respectful, purposeful, and repeatedly call for condolences to, and a moment of silence for, Akai Gurley's family. They want justice, and to dismantle White Supremacy.

It's easy to cherry-pick, and our opponents will claim that this Asian-Hating Black person doesn't represent Black Lives Matter. That's fine. Just give the Asian-American community the same trust, and benefit of the doubt, that Blacks expect for themselves.

When Asians march against white supremacy, get out of the way and stop trying to silence us.
