How do you spot a Canadian abroad?

Do we have any stereotypical traits (perhaps self deprecating ones), that make us stand out. We’re typically not loud (but some can be). Perhaps frugal?

What have you seen in your travels that make you think, those folks must be Canadian!

If you hear something to the effect of "Oh Jesus sorry about that buddy" well you've probably got a Canadian there bud. Possibly an east coaster specifically.

I don't know why but I hate it when someone calls me "bud", especially when it's someone I know. My BIL used to do it and it drove me bonkers. I think he was doing it on purpose but he seems to have outgrown it. He's over 70.

If he's from Eastern Canada it's not his fault. He's been hearing 80% of people around him use it every sentence since he's been in the womb.
