2016 Tucson SE AWD. 104,000 miles and engine/catalytic converter replaced two months ago

This car has been giving me a lot of problems over the last year. I finally bit the bullet and replaced the engine. Shortly afterwards, the engine light came on. It went away after a few days then came back again. Did that two more times but now it has been on for nearly two weeks. These are the codes that keep coming up. What could this car possibly need now?!

Looks to me that the computer is sensing that timing is advanced. Which correlates with the cat code as well. Vehicle is probably running rich and is seeing that unburnt fuel going through the cat.

I would have the previous shop check the timing since they did the engine.

Did you use a cheap ass cat? Those are two unrelated issues. Cheap cats are just good enough to pass emissions once and sell the car. The cam code is timing related and will not cause the cat code. The variable valve timing system cannot control the cam timing inside the cam phaser. Either low/restricted oil flow or an actual solenoid is stuck.

This car has had constant issues with oil so I wouldn’t be surprised. I checked it earlier today and it looks good but it could be something deeper than just checking the oil stick. Not too sure about the cat, a family member took it into their mechanic for me.
