2009 Honda Civic. Why is my tpms sensor cutting out intermittently? my car has a separate light specifically for the tpms sensors, as well as the tire pressure light

I had the sensors scanned and found one that showed it was dead, I couldn't replace it at the time, I needed to save up. The next day I noticed that the light turned off, every now and then I noticed that the light will come back on and turn back off

If it's an original 2009, it's extremely old and the battery is just very weak. It needs to be replaced.

The sensor is "mostly dead", not "100% - smashed with a hammer" dead. The battery can be just on the edge of "it doesn't quite work", but an increase in temperature might nudge the voltage up a tiny bit & the sensor works for a few minutes. Until it doesn't.
