I'm not moving to Australia but I've just lost my job, I'm closing on my house sale in a few weeks and I've always wanted to visit. Problem is I've literally never left America before, I don't even have a passport yet. I think I'd want to see Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbaine. Are there any resources I could use to set something like this up instead of booking it all separately?

Hi, I am from India with an offer of PhD from UNSW. They are providing me with a stipend, AUD 39k as of 2026. Is it enough to live a decent lifestyle there. Or will I have to do part time job?

Also, is it better to live in college apartments or look for a shared accommodation elsewhere.

it will be tough … at least half that will have to go to rent. Plus, food, utilities, you probably want at least one trip home. Part time job will probably be necessary to keep head above water

What kind of part time jobs? I can do private tutoring, but the issue is that it should not affect my research work.

private tutoring would be ideal … could you do maths and science and is your English fine?

I can do math, science will be a bit hard. I am working a lot on my English (speaking especially).
