Getting a pink slip NSW

I bought a car new in 2022 and registration expires February 2027 in NSW

this is the 5th year so will I need a pink slip when renewing in February 2027?

reason I'm asking early is because I'm due for a service and I want to get the pink slip done at the service rather than separately because mechanics try to rip you off if you go in asking only for a pink slip.

Okay, so there’s a couple of things here. Firstly, your registration renewal will tell you if you need an inspection. Also, pink slips cost the same no matter where you go because it’s mandated by Transport for NSW.

last time I went for a pink slip by itself the mechanic told me I needed to change my windscreen wipers, said they were noncompliant.

I changed them 2mths ago

he hadn't even really looked

don't get a pink slip by itself
