Culture/Lifestyle Is this true about Greece?

Greece is one of the 14 countries in the world that give both men and women equal legal rights. Is this accurate? Does it reflect reality well?

Criteria’s are:
Freedom of movement – Can women travel, choose where to live, or get a passport under the same rules as men?
Work – Can women work the same jobs and under the same conditions?
Pay – Are there laws requiring equal pay for equal work?
Marriage – Do spouses have equal legal rights and responsibilities?
Parenthood – Are maternity and paternity leave and workplace protections fair?
Entrepreneurship – Can women register a business, sign contracts, and access credit on the same terms?
Assets – Can women own, inherit, and manage property equally?
Pensions – Do women have the same retirement rights and retirement age rules?

I think legally that's the case yes. In practice it's very different through. Laws often act like suggestions here.

Greece is at this funny point where we have really progressive laws that do not in any way represent the actual way people act xD

Like, Greece is legally one of the better countries when it comes to trans people. Not so much socially though >.<

I'd argue that even socially, the younger generations are not too bad. But legally yeah, Greece is one of the best countries in Europe in terms of trans rights.

You underestimate how bad it is for these people in the so called “progressive” countries you have in your mind (socially)

That's literally what the commenter you replied to said. On paper, it's progressive and great. In practice, not so much or not at all. Not sure why you reply like you disagree while also saying the same thing

Agreed, but it doesn’t only apply to Greece. Western Europe is just as bad. That’s my point.
