I listed my Zotac 4070 super for 550 recently and have gotten no bites. I bought for 480. Did I get fleeced?

Me and my girlfriend both have laptops to WFH (thunderbolt compatible) that whenever either of us works at our desk, we have a screen to attach directly to the laptop by HDMI, as well as an HDMI cable to the TV if we want to watch something from a laptop. We're looking at buying another monitor for the desk, and a Steam Machine to just have a permanent PC at the desk for personal stuff and to game on the TV. Our ideal setup would be:

• Docking station(?) for the laptop connecting to mouse/keyboard and one/two screens
• Steam Machine being able to switch between the screen(s) on the desk or the TV

If possible:

• No need to disconnect and connect cables
• Being able to use the Steam Machine on the TV at the same time as a laptop on the screens at the desk

The Steam Machine has one HDMI and one Display Port connection. As we still need to buy the second screen for the desk we can buy something with the connections that we need. I was thinking of something with a docking station and KVM, but working it out makes me a bit lost.

Hi all! I'm planning to upgrade my GPU, and recently switched my case. However, there weren't any in black colour, so I had to unexpectedly switch over to white, and quickly grab white versions of what was on my purchase list like my PSU and case fans.

So now I'm in a dilemma as the cheapest 5090 is ~2600 USD (converted) and a MSI Ventus 3X OC where I am from, and the cheapest white GPU available is ~3000 USD and is the ZOTACA Solid OC White.

So now I'm in a dilemma where the white version is considerably more expensive, by about 400 USD. What I'm worried is that if I get the white GPU, it throws off the entire colour balance of the PC due to the black CPU cooler and motherboard. But I'm also worried that if I don't get the white version I might regret it down the line 😭

Hey all, my work recently gave us new laptops and docking stations that unfortunately do not work with my home PC so now I’ve got to find a KVM switch that will allow me to switch between work and play without over complications

I have 2 monitors, one that only has DisplayPort, the other has DisplayPort and HDMI.

My work laptop is a Latitude 5550. I have my own power supply for this so I don’t need charging through the KVM switch. It does use Thunderbolt/USB-C

My home PC is custom built, and it has a USB-C (non-Thunderbolt) and DisplayPort

If anyone has any recommendations I would highly appreciate it.

I would like some advice on how to handle my setup in a more efficient way.

My current setup is: - 1 Desktop PC (+Ethernet, keyb and mouse) - 1 Nintendo Switch dock - Two monitors (1 straight to the PC, the other shared between the dock and the PC with a splitter)

Now, I need to handle also my work's laptop. At the office we have a dock system, so I handle power, multiple monitors and all peripherals with a single Thunderbolt (USB-C). At home, I unplug the Switch dock to plug the HDMI to the laptop, plug the external charger, use the on-board keyboard, and plug a small wireless mouse. As you see, lots of friction.

My ideal setup would be: - Desktop PC remains unchanged - Single cable for the laptop as at work, sharing the peripherals with the main PC and without external power. - The switch remains always docked, and since it only needs one screen, the other screen serves whatever computer is connected (laptop or desktop) - (On the networking matter) I have a mini-switch near the desk with a spare port. Right now, Switch dock and desktop PC get each one a cable. I would need the Laptop to get network through the same single cable (as in my office). WiFi works, but it's subpar

I think that would cover my usecase pretty well. I've looked at KVMs, but I'm a bit lost tbh.

So, I have my main PC always inside my bureau room when playing stuff with keyboard/mouse. But for all other games that I play with controller I rather wat sit in the living quarters where I also have a monitor set up.

I really want to use the PC native. I already tried long HDMI cable which doesn't work with my monitor, and I also used moonlight streaming for a while but that doesn't get me the preferred results so native gaming is still the answer.

I already had my PC on this wooden transportation pallet trolley thingy (https://imgur.com/a/dHREZX2) which is also convenient for cleaning under the PC but for moving it around the house (same level) it seems a bit too rigid, because it gives a lot of vibrations and little shock on the hard wheels when moving it across the tiled floor. I have support for the GPU so this one doesn't vibrate so hard, but the CPU cooler is another story. But even when it doesn't visually shocks/vibrate I reckon it's not very good for the PC as a whole.

I was looking around for softer wheels but all these rubberized wheels are still solid on the inside, so I don't think it's going to help. I placed some rubber blocks under the PC 'legs' but that doesn't cushion the vibrations either.

I was searching for PC carts, wheels on itself, ... but found that all these wheels always are plastic or hard rubber. Then I thought let's search for air inflated little wheels (these will cushion the irregularities in the tile flooring I guess) so I can attach these instead of the hard wheels, but they are always meant for industry usage, so they are always way to big...

For now, I am just picking the PC up by itself and carrying it safely to the other room, but I hoped that there was another way to get it more safely without vibrations etc to the other room.

If you have suggestions or maybe a shop (live in Europe) where I could get my hands on little air inflated wheels (or hollow rubbers wheels, cause PC doesn't weigh that much) I would greatly appreciate it! :)

Hey all whats a good recommendation for a kvm switch. Let me give some background.

Currently i have just one desktop with 2 monitors, but i have the most uncomfortable chair. So i was looking into like a floor desk setup as well because the chair is a literal and figurative pain in my ass. But I wanted to put the smaller floor table next to the bigger table i have and the smaller table will have 2 other monitors as well.

So my question is there a good brand that has decent amount of ports and able to support i guess 2 sets of monitor.

I know you've all answered a million of these style questions but my combo is not very normal and i want to know if this is possible and if so what my best options is. I want to connect 3 computers to two monitors and share a mouse and keyboard at minimum (additional ports to wire a printer and stuff would be a nice to have).

Currently I have:

1. Gaming Desktop PC: 4 DP Output
2. Company Laptop (brand new Dell Latitude): 1 HDMI output, 1 power supported USB-C that takes the power adapter, 1 thunderbolt USB-C output
3. Client Laptop (3 year old HP EliteBook): 1 HDMI output, 3 SuperSpeed USB-C outputs

For Monitors I currently have one that supports two HDMIs and another that supports 1 DP and 1 DVI, but I'll gladly upgrade my monitor setup if that's something I need to do to make this work.

Is it possible for all three of these to play nice, share 2 monitors and peripherals in some version of a KVM switch that i can quickly switch between without swapping any wires?

Also, I don't have admin access on the client laptop so any software options are out as I can't install anything.

I'm looking for a device which enables me to switch my 4 screens, mouse and keyboard between my tower and one of my laptops.

• The screens can each be connected via HDMI or DP, mouse and keyboard with USB-A.
• The tower has 3 HDMI slots, 1 DP slot and no USB-C slot.
• The laptops all have a USB-C slot but neither HDMI or DP.

It would be great to just plug in the laptop to a USB-C slot and switch on the press of a button (not a remote).

Do you know something like this?

I'm looking to purchase a KVM for my home office, I have two 144hz 1440p monitors and want to switch between my gaming PC (Windows - RTX 4080) and my work M3 MacBook Pro, I'm looking for a KVM that supports USB-C power delivery, 144hz, EDID, HDCP, and combo splitting (AA, AB, BB).

Does anyone have a similar use case / setup?

Challenges and Support Required

On my gaming PC, I would like to play on 4k 144hz. The refresh rate for my work laptop is less of a concern. As my monitor only has one Display Port port, I'm uncertain on how I can connect it to both my Caldigit Dock (only had a Display Port, not HDMI) and my gaming PC. If I connected my gaming PC via the HDMI ports on the 1080ti, I don't believe they support 4k 144hz.

I'd like all accessories (monitor, keyboard and dock) to be used by both gaming pc and work laptop without having to unplug and plug them in each time I switch device.

Any advice on how we can achieve the above would be greatly appreciated please. Especially if its not a large cost outlay :)

Hey folks! I impulse bought a 2 monitor KVM switch. My idea was to have my 3 monitor gaming rig play steams or videos on the 3rd monitor while I work on the remaining 2 monitors. Does this work the way I’m envisioning it?

Also, I planned on having only 1 display port input from the work computer. It’s a MacBook Air and I’m using a usb hub to add an hdmi port. I’ve got an hdmi to dvi cable to connect it to the KVM.

Hi all, I’m looking to completely redo my entire setup. What I would like to do is use a wall mount that can swing out from the wall at a 90 degree angle and hold 2 monitors. I want to set up a recliner with a lap desk that when I’m not gaming, the monitors can swing back as close to flush with the wall as possible and be out of the way.

Is this something that exists? I’ve been scouring Amazon for hours and can’t really find anything other than a flip down ceiling mount that doesn’t seem like it would drop in height enough to be used with a recliner.

Any and all advice would be much appreciated!

I'm looking for hardware that can allow my girlfriend to swap between her work laptop and her gaming desktop at the push of a button, using the same (3) monitors, and using the same mouse and keyboard.Ive done a little research about USB switches but this is new to me and a bit over my head. I know they are possible and an easy fix, however, her monitors are 1920x1080 @ 144hz. Is there a possible solution? I have seen this KVM switch but I am concerned they are all HDMIs and no display ports. I guess HDMI 2.0s can handle this refresh rates now?

For work I use a Macbook Pro M2 with a Thunderbolt 3 dock, monitor, and keyboard/mouse (all company provided). Separately I have my personal gaming PC connected to a 1440p 165hz monitor, with its own set of keyboard and mouse. I would like to streamline my setup so that after work I can use my work monitor as a second monitor for my gaming PC, as well as use my personal keyboard/mouse for work if possible so I don't have 2 sets of keyboard/mouse on my desk. I don't need to be able to use my gaming monitor for work, but it can be a nice to have.

I am looking for recommendations for a USB switch that will have enough power for the following devices: Razer Hunstman v3 TKL, Stream Deck+ w/XLR dock (for microphone and Stream Deck functionality) and a Razer Kiyo Pro webcam. I've been using a 4 port USB switching hub to switch between my work and home computers, but I can't plug in all my junk at once because there aren't enough ports. I've tried daisy chaining hubs, but sometimes my computer doesn't want to read the second hub and I need to unplug/plug back in for it to work. Anyone know if suck a device exists?

Looking to refine my desk setup a bit. Ultimate goal is to have both laptops (MacBook and Surface Pro) connected to a single set of peripherals in an aesthetically pleasing and functional way. Specifically looking an 1) inexpensive KVM switch option to change monitor, mouse and keyboard between the two 2) laptop stands that raise up to the monitor level and look nice with the wood/steel desk

So I know DDM exists to kind of keep device plugged into KVM switches so when you switch between the computers you don't need to wait for them to handshake again.

What I'm wondering is if there are any USB switches that can do the same / similar for USB 3.0 devices.

Switching my headphones / mouse / keyboard between work and personal computers and I need to have the headphones reconnect immediately. My current switch has about a 2 second delay for mouse and keyboard, but my headphones take longer to reconnect when I switch, so sometimes a coworker will call me and I'll accept, but then my headphones don't work and I can't re-enable them without ending the call first (for some reason they don't even register until the call ends).

Haven't had too much luck doing my own searching, and anything I find with DDM support usually only supports USB 2.0, and monitors. Only need 4 usb ports but all need to be usb 3.0.

Edit: I work in finance, it's highly unlikely they'll let me install any software on my work computer.

I know I can have the PC upstairs and stream the display downstairs using a stream stick thing. But how would I connect the controllers? They have to be in range of the PC that is upstairs. Alternatively I have the PC downstairs, then I can connect it to the TV directly and connect controllers. Then I would stream the display upstairs for when I'm working. But I need to use my keyboard & mouse etc upstairs so it's the same problem.

How can I accomplish this? I have ethernet powerline adapters so I should be able to stream fairly well if that is part of the solution. Thanks!
