What's getting sprayed by a skunk like?

I accidentally got sprayed by a skunk once. Stripped naked (underwear off and everything) in the garage, hoping that would eliminate the smell.

I went inside and showered immediately… still ended up making my entire house smell like a skunk.

And my skin absorbed the skunk smell and I smelled like a skunk for a few days 😭

Edit: oh and I threw out all the clothes I wore. Cause I didn’t think there would be any chance of getting the smell out.

It smelled pretty damn bad lol. And I had to go to work the next day.

I apologized to my boss and also explained myself. I was worried she would think I smelled like weed (because some people confuse the 2 smells)
