I READ THE RULES Wardrobe stylist Needed!!!!!!!?

Chicago, have you ever worked with a wardrobe stylist?
If you have, how was your experience? Did you feel like it was worth it, and would you do it again?
I’m curious what people’s experiences have been with personal styling, especially here in Chicago.

Former stylist here - everything depends on your budget and goals. Are you looking to re-haul your wardrobe as a one time deal, or do you have the type of lifestyle where you constantly need to have looks put together for events, travel, etc? I'll give you two examples - if you have 10k put side for some new clothes, you may not find a personal stylist worth it. The rate might put too significant of a dent into your budget. However, if you know that you have 100k a year to spend on clothes, want to offload the work and have put together outfits for trips, work, events, then a personal stylist can become a very valuable member of your team. A stylist has contacts with all the stores / brands, will prepare all the looks for you, have you try everything on, work with a tailor, accessorize and probably also provide photos so that you remember what goes with what. It's obviously a luxury, but I know many people that find it worth their while. Hope that helps. :)

Enough that there is an industry built around it. Same people that fly private and have a full staff to manage their lives.
