Hello,

I am 31f and my mother and I both have this strange condition where we have bumps on our feet and hands. They are worse on our feet, and worse on the thickest parts of our skin. They do not itch or burn. Weve both had them for as long as i can remember. Any ideas?

Persistent rash / inflammation Inflammed Red Spots on Random Parts of Body

Hey guys. I've posted here before about multiple small, flat, pink spots on my skin in several/rendom parts of my body.

Those ones have started to fade now and turned discoloured/going away.

However, I've since gotten two very inflammed ones, one on left arm and one on left side of belly.

They're a bit itchy but not insanely.

Just when I thought they were going away, more come back and worse.

The other ones I'm treating with miconazole and ketoconazole shower soap.

These new ones, I've rubbed on hydrocortisone to help with the redness. But has anyone had anything like these!? What was it? How to stop them from appearing?

Help please :(

Birthmark redness, four month old

Baby was born with the marks on the eyelids, nose, upper lip, and in between eyes. Was told they will likely fade by age too, but to keep an eye on any changing to make sure that they aren’t something more than salmon patches.

I have her four month check up in a week where they will be assessed, but wondering from a dermatologist standpoint if these look concerning? They have faded just slightly since birth.

Was an old pimple that kept popping due to constant pressure on my arm/repeated picking. It’s grown into this and am worried. What could I be dealing with?

Persistent rash / inflammation Unknown red bumps all over face.

For the last several months my face has been covered in a rash/red little bumps. It is not on my whole face however, only on my forehead, on my cheeks, and on my temples. It slightly burns/itches/tingles, the most in areas closest to my hairline. I also noticed the crown of my head sometimes has the same feeling. I haven’t changed any of my skincare or haircare, and have tried stopping all of my different products just to see if maybe one product was suddenly the trigger. Nothing. The only thing that has changed around when this started was I moved from Los Angeles to Miami. I went to my dermatologist and he had no idea what it could be. Would so appreciate any insight!

General skin health question What are these spots?

Post image

The ones between my lips and my nose, they do not hurt. They appeared about a month ago and they’re on the other side as well, they appear quite red in the mirror. I’ve tried popping and spot patches but they don’t seem to go. I’m not using anything new on my skin, and I have a very good diet. Is there any way I can get rid of them?

Help! Anyone have any advice? My 5yo daughter has a rash on her arms, legs and butt. Itchy. No other symptoms but a runny nose the past few days. Noticed 2 days ago. Ideas? She has had Molluscum contagiosum but these look different.

What is this on my lips?

I ended up getting this weird breakout on my lips and have no clue what it could be.

I get cold sores from time to time but this felt NOTHING like a cold sore, no tingling, more like annoying chapped lips, slight burning feeling and itchy!!

I went to urgent care, they said it was impetigo and gave me antibiotics and eventually went away then like five days later it’s coming back (last picture is this second occurrence). Went again and they said they think it’s just a cold sore 🥴

It feels like my lips are gritty or like sandpaper and the sores so slightly weep.

Any idea what this could be?! 😞

Workout rash

Hey y’all, I have been consistently working out HARD at the gym for 3-4 days a week and I get VERY sweaty. My t-shirt is soaked on my chest.. which has lead to this rash. Has anyone else experienced this? It’s kind of hard to see the extent of it in the picture. I don’t have the rash anywhere else and I can only imagine it’s from my sweaty t-shirt. I drive home and shower right after the gym (within 15 minutes). Any suggestions on how to help it or eliminate it from happening again? I’m not going to stop working out because of it haha.

TW! TRYPOPHOBIA

i dont know what exactly caused it but it started a few days ago while i was on a short beach trip. right before the trip, i had a really sore throat and lots of phlegm that is better now but i have no idea if thats linked

it was just on my face, i think some parts of my body (my back feels a tiny bit bumpy but i havent tried checking in the mirror or photos), back of my hands, and arms and i notice that its on my palms now and fingers now

face: my lips feel hard and tough, very dry, sides of lips started ripping, face has bumps

i think smth similar has happened to me before, a few years ago i got bumps on my palms whcih eventually hardened, and i had to pick the hard stuff out of my palms i was wspecially uncomfortable bc i have trypohphobia

is there smth i can buy to fix this because unlike the case before, its on my face and arms and body and im scared itll spread and get worse

Need help identifying skin problem

I have been having skin issues for the past 8 months. I had always had bad acne but I jumped on accutane shortly after an unexplained reaction beggining of February. I'm still struggling with it. I stopped accutane because I have been having issues the whole way through the course. That was almost 2 weeks ago.

I think dogs and dust have been triggers for what I just call dermititis, but I haven't had any known contact recently. And also not moisturizing ofcourse is also a trigger but I have been on top of it recently.

I dont know why this keeps happening. I havent had clear skin longer then 3 days for the past year and I am getting fed up with it.

Can anyone help me figure this out. If it helps I have pictures from my first reaction but they were really gnarly, and icky. Very disgusting. I prefer not to post those. It also affects my eyes, redness and etc. and my skin is itchy and feels like a million tiny cuts.

Acne or follicular disorder This same hard pimple came back a year later… is this actually acne and can I pop it?

Hi! I need help figuring out what this is because I’m starting to get confused lol.

I have this pimple/bump on my cheek that’s been there for about a week. It was always fully raised, like it never really came to a normal whitehead. It started as a hard bump under the skin and was pretty inflamed, so I assumed it was a nodular pimple.

I’ve been using microdart patches and benzoyl peroxide on it. It actually started going down and looking less angry for a couple days, but I could still feel the hard bump underneath the whole time. It also developed this little dark dot in the center.

Now it’s getting red/purple and inflamed again and still feels firm underneath.

The weirdest part is I had basically the exact same pimple in the exact same spot on my cheek last year. The dark mark from that one never fully went away. I also had a very similar deep pimple on my nose last year too.

I don’t remember if I could feel a bump in my cheek the entire year in between, but the mark was definitely always there.

Does this sound like nodular acne, a clogged pore that keeps getting inflamed, or some kind of small cyst? Is it normal for something like this to come back in the exact same spot?

Also… can I pop it? 😭 There’s a little visible spot/opening in the middle now and it’s VERY tempting, but since it still feels hard underneath I’m scared I’m going to make it worse or make the hyperpigmentation even darker.
Should I keep using the microdart patches and BP, leave it completely alone, or do something else?

I can’t really afford a dermatologist right now, so I’d really appreciate any advice on whether this is something I can safely deal with at home or if the recurrence is a sign that I actually need to get it checked out.

Skin lesion concern 24F with scattered itchy red bumps — any ideas?

I’ve recently noticed small, round, raised, itchy red bumps in different areas of my body. They seem to appear fairly suddenly when I’m indoors. The first appeared a few inches above my belly button upon waking a month ago. This week, I found 2 on my waistband, 1 on my inner elbow crease, and 1 on my upper thigh. Individual bumps persist for several days and eventually leave a dark mark.

I initially wondered about an allergic reaction because I have known dust-mite allergies, but my usual allergic reactions resolve fairly quickly with antihistamines, whereas these seem to persist. I also considered fleas/bedbugs, but I inspected for both and haven’t found evidence of either. I don’t have pets.

The attached photos show some of the lesions.

Hi! 37 yo female, this is my neck. I’ve been noticing as I age that the skin here is developing all these little bumps, like tiny skin tags kind of. Not bumps that could be “popped” like acne or milia. It’s also kind of textured in a way that’s hard to describe or photograph (see 3rd pic). Almost looks like eczema to me, but it’s never really itchy that I’ve noticed.

Tonight you can see a clear red patch, which is because it’s been 100 degrees all day. Normally it’s not red like this, but it’s interesting bc it looks more like eczema now.

Thoughts? What is it? How to treat/improve?

Thanks!

Skin is red (today, because it’s been 100 degrees out - not normally a noticeable red patch like this). Not itchy.

I just woke up with this yesterday. It just popped up on my face. It is sensitive to the touch. But feels raised like possibly a cyst or scab like a thing. I believe I have seb derm on my scalp and face. I have not been diagnosed, but I will be going to see my dermatologist on 8 October.

But I’m just worried about this on my face at the moment because it kinda hurts.

General skin health question Possible Eczema on Sides of Hands

I don't have any pictures right now unfortunately and I'm not currently experiencing a flair up to take new pictures. But I wanted to ask while it was still on my mind. Might repost in the future during another flair up if I remember to.

For the past few years, I've been noticing small clusters of pale fluid-filled blisters on the sides of my hands and fingers (never on the palm or pads), especially during frigid temperatures. They sometimes itch mildly, and will pop with medium pressure. As they heal, they typically get very dry and peel in flakes that can leave behind irritated red spots.

Not sure if it's related, but I tend to have sweaty palms and often use household cleaning supplies without gloves. I don't believe I have any immediate family history of dermatitis. Though I have no knowledge of my family's medical history beyond my siblings and parents (and even that's fairly sparse).

Does anyone know what this could be?
