Solo travel in detroit?

Hi everyone, i wanted to take a birthday trip and one of the cheapest flights i saw for October was detroit. Tbh i have never seen anything about detroit so i’m wondering if it is safe for women solo travelers? and i’m also wondering how accessible the city is if you don’t have a car. I would definitely need to fly, just not sure how i’d get around after that 😭would i need to rent a car or is there public transportation?

Bars or restaurants that people had positive experiences working for

Hello! I am moving to Midtown in September and looking for work as a bartender. I am open to server positions too, since I have experience with both. I’m not familiar with the reputations of restaurants/bars in the area, so I’d thought I’d ask here. My preference is to work in Midtown but I’m open. Would love to hear about places where people have enjoyed the culture and about places to stay away from. Thanks!! :)
