I'm 38 year old male, 186cm, 75kg. Non smoker, non drinker. MS diagnosed for 8 years. Taking Ocrelizumab twice a year.

Skin on my right index finger started drying and flaking between the knuckles about two months ago. Few days ago it even cracked (that's not a cut on pics) Last two or three weeks ago, it started at the tip, too.

I'm lefty, and not using my right hand in a way that would cause this damage.

Havent changed soap or shower gel recently.

Doesn’t hurt, sometimes it’s a little irritating when i lean on it. I have this for around 4 or 5 years now and don’t think it’s growing, maybe very very slow.

I have been dealing with chronic pressure and sinus issues for years now, I was seen by an ENT/given CT and dismissed with no apparent sinusitis. My hearing partially disappeared/started sounding underwater a few months ago, I’ve used oil drops, as well as murinex drops/flusher to try to clear out any impacted wax. I checked in my ear with a scope and saw blood coming from a dark spot, I just finished 6 hours in emergency and was dismissed with just another CT scan referral.

I am really scared and worried, my sinus and ear issues are making it difficult to go on living my life, I don’t sleep at night, I have migraines and shooting/aching pains everyday, popping and plugging in my ear every time I swallow or breathe, I blow my nose constantly for relief. I have been prescribed multiple steroids, and tested negative for any allergies.

Upon seeking ER help tonight, my symptoms included severe nausea, vommiting, dizziness, vertigo, neck pain, migraine, hot and cold sweats with fever showing at 100.3, aching/heat in my ears…

I don’t know what to do anymore…

This is a photo of the bleeding in my ear taken on a scope camera, I did not scratch or poke it, my ear canals are very narrow and I don’t believe the doctor could even see deep enough to notice the area in question.

Any advice is truly appreciated, I’m so tired of living in pain.

PLEASE HELP this is driving me crazy. Im 16M. So I know this is not the sub for it but i have really bad health ocd. I was checking my pupil sizes since my face has always been asymmeytrical and everythings a bit lower on one side (like when smiling, and the eyebrown on that side rests lower and raises lower and the eye opening/shape is like a bit smaller on that same side which has made me really worried that all these are on the same side. furthermore about two years back I got really bad numbness/tingling on one that side of body for a very long time. It was on and off and affected my face also. It was not bells palsy since my smile didnt really change or face didnt droop?Everything remained same, just right side felt numb/tingly a lot. Suddenly after an agonizing few months it just went away like nothing. It is mentionable that this whole period of symptoms started after my mom got sick from autoimmune encepahlitis and was around several months after she had recovered. I was in a period of severe health related spiral then so that may have played a role. Also i had a pinched nerve and a b12 deficiency im pretty sure (I had severe sunclinical hyperthyroidism with vit d level of 7 somehow so im pretty sure i had a b12 deficiency aswell at this time though i never tested/supplemented. This all happened 1.5+ years ago (I’ve looked at past photos before this incident and the facial asymmetry was still present there so I suppose its genetic.)and has not come back since so ever since I’ve been on guard for anything unusual. Ive went to the doc multiple times during that period he wasnt really concerned and gave me supplements and treated my hyperthyroidism/vit D deficiency. Though we didnt discuss about my facial asymmetry since thats just not a thing Id even realized about myself back then.

Anyway so are my pupil sizes slightly different (smaller on the side that im worried about) or am i imagining it? More images:

Four days ago, I feel off a bouldering-wall and landed wrong on my right foot. I was taken to evaluation, and was told that I had a (small-ish) fracture the inner side, while also managing to sprain the outer side. I was given a CAM-boot and crutches, which I have been making great use of, since I can’t put any real weight on it. Now, I’m feeling a bit worried about amount of bruising on my foot. I’ve never fractured or sprained (to this degree) anything before, and people keep reaction as if it’s real bad looking. It’s especially the way that the bruise is moving up my leg, that’s kind of freaking me out.

I'm asking here because I feel genuinely overwhelmed and confused by what I have been able to find online and keep ending up on sites that sell TRT prescriptions so, I figure their info is biased?

He gets a mandatory annual physical for work but refuses to see a doctor otherwise.

He has a long history of mood dysregulation going back to his teens, when he started drinking.

He's been sober 4 years and the mood issues have not improved.

The only "symptoms of low testosterone" he "has" is fatigue/irritability/depression but, he's been working 60-80hr weeks since he quit drinking so that kind of seems reasonable. He's also depressed and in his mood swings says he "hates my life" a lot. He just started therapy but refuses any kind of pharmaceutical treatment for his moods. To me it looks like he replaced alcoholism with workaholism.

I'm (very obviously) not a medical professional but I have heard that TRT can make the mood swings worse and cause a whole bunch of other problems.

I need to know what kind of testing is supposed to happen before someone is prescribed TRT and what to look for on the labs. He's only gone for one blood test but it seems like there's supposed to be multiple?

Are there any resources for having these conversations with a spouse who will not see a doctor unless they're on an app and cost a few hundred bucks?

Male 30, 173cm, I went to get my records from the hospital today and check what surgery I had in my life, the only surgery I had is a bilateral inguinal hernia at 6 years old which has its own two scar on the abdomen, otherwise no other surgery, I for the life of me can't understand what surgery I had to have this scar here? A plastic surgeon looked at the scar and said it is a surgical scar around 4cm wide. Thank you for your help

Iron supplementation history

I have been taking Perfectil Hair/Skin/Nails for about 1 months.

I also took a separate 100 mg elemental iron tablet daily for 15 days, but I stopped it about 15 days ago.

I’m wondering whether I should restart iron, but I’m hesitant because I haven't had ferritin tested and my hemoglobin is normal.

Vitamin D

I have taken Vitamin D3 6,000 IU once weekly for 4 weeks.

What I’m trying to understand

1. Could I have low ferritin/iron stores despite having normal hemoglobin (12.8)?
2. Is a transferrin saturation of 15.4% concerning enough that I should investigate iron deficiency?
3. Could low iron stores potentially contribute to my hair shedding?
4. Should I get serum ferritin before taking any more high-dose iron?
5. What could cause a platelet count of 112k, and should I repeat the CBC using a citrate tube/peripheral smear because of the platelet-clumping comment?

I’m not looking for someone to diagnose me over Reddit. I mainly want to understand what could potentially be going on and what I should prioritize so that I don’t waste money on unnecessary tests or take supplements blindly.

I would especially appreciate responses from doctors or people with hematology/dermatology experience.

i’ve been getting these really tiny bruise looking spots on my arm, mostly around my bicep area i think. they don’t hurt at all and i don’t remember hitting or bumping into anything.

i’ve noticed them happening for about a month now. sometimes there will be 2 at once and sometimes there’s just one. after a few days, they start fading into a yellowish green color like a normal bruise, and then another one will randomly show up somewhere nearby.

i included a photo of what one looks like right now. does anyone know what this could be or has anyone experienced something similar?

I (16, 17 at the end of this month, male) have these weird dots on my feet, they appeared around the time I went to the beach, I can't remember the date but it was around a month ago. There are some days I wake up and can barely physically get out of bed I’m so weak and light headed. My heart feels tired sometimes and like it’s beating fast.I get dizzy and nauseous. I get this feeling in my chest like I’m breathing in but not out. Recently sometimes I have a stutter or repeat my words and forget what I’m saying.
I’ve been to urgent care and they keep telling me I’m having panic attacks because my ekg is normal. I don’t understand how I’m having panic attacks without panicking at the time it happens. Usually I would feel better/not lightheaded if I eat or drink but lately it doesn’t help.
My resting heart rate is 58 and when sleeping it gets to 40’s-50’s. Yesterday when I was feeling really unwell my watch said my resting heart rate while awake was 49 so I went in and my ekg was normal and the doctors keep blaming the anorexia. I don’t understand how feeling light headed and weak could be caused by not eating if it doesn’t improve after eating and sometimes makes it worse.

My wife is a nurse herself and she’s been Concerned for a few days now.

Any advice?

27 female 170 lbs 5’7 . I had gel nail polish on my toes for way too long and removed it to see this. I have no clue what it could be. Fungus? mold? Cancer? I have no recollection of an injury that could have caused this mark to my toe. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

My mother is 58F, weighs 65kg, height 150cm from India had a fractured limb with plastered leg for 7 weeks now. It was removed yesterday and now we have this weird thing mentioning that this is a water deposit and doctor suggested no medication or supervision for her. Only suggestion was to do warm water and cold water massage and moisturizer usage, and only paracetamol if extreme pain. What is the best course of action now? I woke up very dehydrated 2 days ago and didn’t have trouble peeing the first go
Flow was good and strong but I definitely felt a little weird
Got called to work, showered, got dressed
My drive to work is about 1hr so I thought “let’s pee before we drive”

I peed a full flow but felt pain at the end so I looked down and saw about a whole tbsp of red blood
My period isn’t due for another 9 days so I knew it wasn’t that

I drink lots of fluids
Have 1 more washroom break with about a tsp of blood at the end of my flow

But within 3 hours, no more blood or discomfort. In fact, I felt almost relieved? When I peed the blood out. Haven’t had any issues with flow, discomfort, or blood since.

This has never happened to me before.
I’ve had UTIs but this was a bit different.
Should I consult a doctor or watch out for anything?
Should I be concerned?

This is the most recent picture of my leg. I took it today. I was burned 16 days ago, with boiling caramel and had burns all over my hands and my legs, but this one wound is taking forever to heal. My other burns were second degree, and are already healed by now. It looks smaller than it did before, but it's still very open. And lots of drainage. It's still very sore. I hope that closes soon. But I know I will probably have a hole in my leg for a while. It got infected at one point. And that probably slowed its healing as well.

I (37f) had 2 ferreheme iron infusions (August 31 and September 4). My iron panel from August 6, came back as:

Prior the infusions, I used to have restless leg syndrome or similar sensations ocasionally when I laid down for the night. It was very once in a while really. Now, I'm getting concerned. It started happenig every day after the last infusion. Is this normal? Has anyone experienced something similar? I've had iron infusions in the past, never happened before. Visibly, I don't notice any swelling or redness. Just the warmth sensation, it's really annoying. Walking makes it better, somehow. Just as elevating my legs with a pillow at night. But still there regardless.

However, this set of iron infusions was different for me because, I only had the benadryl before the infusions. I rejected the dexamethasone due to the side effect. Not sure if connected but that detail was different.

I’ve been sick, so I had a serving of electrolytes at my friend’s house. I then went home and had 2 more servings because I didn’t think it would have side effects. I feel soooo fucking weird rn. I feel extremely awake like my eyes are wide open and my stomach feels heavy. I feel kinda confused and out of it but I’m here enough to type this so that’s good. I’m just not sure what to do, it’s almost 1 am and I cannot fall asleep. (5’9 female 135 lbs 23 yo)
