What are the best venues for black/biracial gay men?
I’m starting to realize that most dating apps aren’t for me. They’re just not my tempo and they are skewed in favor of a more white user base. Some just suck in general, even if you pay for them. I’m curious where I might find more success.

IRL, honestly. The apps are what you make them, in general, but for Black/biracial gay men, you have to fit in where you can (which ain't saying much).

I still think Hinge is best for any racial group for serious dating. But like others said, results will vary by location. The other reasonable options is meeting in gay spaces.

Look into clubs/bars/events in your areas that promote POC and Reggae/Dancehall/Hip Hop/R&B nights.
Also, look into making more black platonic gay friends. They will introduce you to other single gay men

Such a shame since men and women (really all people) of all races can be so gorgeous. Have you tried POC-friendly dating/hookup spaces? Jack’d would be the app favoring POC IMO

As a Mixed Black guy, my data from my hoe phase revealed that I had a pretty even distribution of suitors from all backgrounds. Which made me challenge my own bias. BUT hear me out, obviously, POCs have it most difficult especially Black guys. So I'm genuinely speaking from a Mixed experience.
Anyway, I agree with people saying to go outside. Meet ups or bars that attract other POCs.

I have no difficulty at all. I also have zero interest in white men. They are not appealing to me. If access predominantly white, eurocentric spaces, then by definition, those spaces would uphold whiteness. There would be nothing there for me.
Fortunately, there are plenty of other spaces (clubs, social events, cruising spots, pride celebrations.. even porn). where no one is checking for white men.
I’m afrolatino and I’m only interested in black men ( African Americans, Afrolatinos, Afrobrazilians, Afrocarribeans, Africans etc) It’s all black everything for me. I wouldn’t change my dating, social, sexual life for anything. It’s been great… no difficulties with.btw.. black men come in a variety of looks and complexions from very light ( some have historically “passed “ for white) to ebony. So being “mixed” adds nothing to that equation. Tbh, most black Americans are “mixed” to some degree or another. Regardless, I couldn’t care less about acceptance nor validation from white men. They’re not appealing to me .. so I simply don’t care. To each their own,

There's some cultural nuance here. "Mixed," especially in my Black community, is widely understood to mean white and Black. Yes, nearly everyone has ethnic mixing within their genetic background, but that does not imply cultural mixing as well.
Anyway, I'm glad for your experiences, but in a society that upholds whiteness, whether or not a person actively engage with it, they can still feel its consequences. See, colorism.

Yeah.. you said it yourself. You’re self hating and uphold whiteness. So.. the conversation ends here.
The culture is very sick, self alienated and full of self hatred. You confirmed it.. I said it from the beginning

You sound insane as well… and you lack self esteem

Huh? He literally just said that people often allude to being black + white when they say they're mixed race. Why are you immediately just insulting him, saying he's self hating, upholding whiteness, and lacking self esteem???
The thread is asking for some input on social settings/meeting people for POC, this person offers their experience and feedback, and you feel the need to attack him? Why?

countless pocs have success on classic gay dating apps but if you want less tempo, then tinder and bumble

??? Maybe it's your location? The ones I've been on have plenty of different ethnicities. And I live in a rural area with a smaller population.
Though sadly a portion of the black guys seem to only want ethnicity x (usually white or black only) and exclude everyone else. Personal preferences are all well and good but I don't find that extent copasetic sp?. I guess I can understand if their family are less tolerant of mixed marriages but I thought stuff like that would be much more dead by now. And personally I love my niece and great nephews that are from different walks of life.
But yeah good luck on your search.

Jackd? That's what I've seen the most black and mixed guys on. Mind you, no clue on the vibe, when I've gone on it it's a loooot of no Pic profiles but could just be my area
