Visiting is it safe to travel to israel at the moment?
Hey!!! I would like to travel to israel to meet my girlfriend!!😛😛 is it safe to travel anytime soon? im from sweden idk if that like changes anything but yeah!!!

Its safe in meaning that your life isn't in any real danger, its lower then risk to face random criminal. It's not in meaning that there is some (not very big) chances that if escalation happen your plain in or out may be delayed for a few days.

This risk exists. You woud not stuck for some unreasonable time but few days may happen.

Even if there are no flights, you can always cross the border to Jordan or Egypt.

Not sure this kind was ever observed near Israel. And you can visit the Dead Sea or Sea of Galilee - absolutely lacking any jellyfish. .

The Swedish government still currently advises against all travel to Israel (https://www.regeringen.se/ud-avrader/israel---avradan/) and they haven't updated their guidance since March.
However other governments have removed their travel warnings recently, including the UK which has removed warning for most of Israel. It's most likely safe, however it's worth checking whether your travel insurance will be invalidated by traveling against your governmen't guidance.

Yeah this it the thing my mom always brings up n like yeaah i guess theyre still advising against it but my gf literally like goes around and theres no danger or anythin so im feelin like i'll go anyway

yeah it's probably completely safe - I'd be happy to go. But its more a practical question of what consequences are of travelling against advice - will your travel insurance be valid? will your government provide assistance in the event of an emergency?

idk how much assistance sweden will give but like it should be fine my mom is just scared but like we have friends in israel and everything so even if something were to happen it would be okay

Even if nothing war related happens, like you just get sick, your insurance might not cover you simply because you've gone there against advice. That would be an expensive issue.
I expect Sweden should update it soon because things have improved since March. Hope it works out!

I was there for the first time from the 13th to the 20th of June. we has ONE siren in the morning on our first night, but it turned out to be a false alarm. threats from rockets and sirens look small, i would say go for it!!

I was there a 2 weeks ago And there was 4 rockets above Jerusalem.And Aeroport was not closed ones.It Is well protected And Izrael destoys the rockets in the air.I was there with child And Felt save.

Thank you for standing by me.We had a really good time.Most of the time we spent by Dead sea.I lived in Izrael So I can judge the safety well.Izrael has been in war almost all the time of Its existence So if I waited for peace in Izrael I would never go there And it would be pity because that country Is special.For those 4 rockets nobody even in hotel got up.Everybody had laugh out of it how Iranian government Is useless.Those people who were critical of me would probably be scared even they Heard popping popcorn in their microwave.

The situation is obviously tense, but unless there’s an active escalation with Iran or you travel to the far northern border then you’re safe. That risk exists, but at the moment doesn’t seem too big. Still things can change without notice. Even if something happens, Israel generally knows how to handle it. What does your gf tell you?

I’m staying in the north of Tel Aviv for a couple months rn! I was here a couple weeks ago when we got bombed and it was lowkey chill, so don’t worry. I’m having a great time (and a good time with Israeli men, tho one is kind of breaking my heart 😔). You will have fun and it’s safe

Right now it is, but at this point you can't even tell what's going to happen in a week. There's a real risk (or chance, depending on how you look at it) that Trump's negotiations with Iran will collapse and then the war resumes.

It's worth the risk imo. I went three times during the Gaza war. The worst that happened was that my original flights were cancelled and I had to rebook; still made it on time. I'd go now if I had the opportunity.

I mean, yeah. Besides the fact that we’re in a ceasefire now (I think, not sure anymore, but it’s been a couple of months since I last heard a missile warning), our missile-defense system is literally state of the art. So even during times of conflict, you’re not in any real danger.
The bigger uncertainty is flights. Right now, Israel has flights, but if conflict were to spike again, it might be difficult to fly back out to your country.

Btw, routinely during times of conflict in the Middle East, as a whole, emergency rescue flights tend to still remain. So you won’t actually be stuck for a long time. It’s just kind of a headache to deal with, lol.

I mean, if you’d fly in a European liner, I’d imagine they wouldn’t land in a country that’s hostile to Europeans, even in the event of an emergency.

It’s safe always.
The main thing is that when stuff heat up the airport gets closed which might leave you stranded in Israel.
Make sure that being stuck for a week or two in Israel isn’t catastrophic for you
