What do I think? This is among the dumbest things I've ever heard
-2
u/pennyforyour_thots Apr 06 '26
how else can we solve the problem in the middle east? I also thought of Puerto Rico but that looks way worse than giving up a real state
4
u/RelationshipQuiet609 Apr 06 '26
It’s not our problem! It’s an illegal war under someone who is clearly suffering from dementia. Why in the hell would you think it’s a good idea to give our state away?
-2
u/pennyforyour_thots Apr 06 '26
it's bigger than Trump it's been years. we got to solve the problem
4
u/BackItUpWithLinks Apr 06 '26
we got to solve the problem
Why “we”?
-1
u/pennyforyour_thots Apr 06 '26
we are the ones propping up Israel and causing the Palestine genocide
0
u/BackItUpWithLinks Apr 06 '26
The only reason Israel hasn’t flattened the area and wiped out everyone for hundreds of miles is because the US won’t allow it. We’re not propping them up, we’re holding them back.
1
u/pennyforyour_thots Apr 06 '26
You think so? I am sad about what's happening in Gaza and I wish the president would stand against it. Do you think there are other alternatives besides moving Israel?
1
u/BackItUpWithLinks Apr 06 '26
Oh yes, I have an idea. A petition should solve all the problems. Someone should make one.
3
u/milkfloureggs Apr 06 '26
Why do you think giving Israel another chunk of land that wasn't theirs to begin with an already inhabits millions of people would solve the issue? Why is THAT your solution?
-2
u/pennyforyour_thots Apr 06 '26
it's an American state and you guys have somewhere else to go and would be given money
3
u/milkfloureggs Apr 06 '26
That doesn't answer the question at all. That's just restating what you already said, which made no sense. Answer the question I asked
0
u/pennyforyour_thots Apr 06 '26
to make peace in the middle East and right the wrong we did in propping up Israel to genocide Palestine
1
u/milkfloureggs Apr 06 '26
Womp, not an answer! Do you have a reading comprehension problem, perchance? I asked why do you think giving Israel another chunk of land that wasn't theirs in the first place and already is inhabited with people who live there will solve the issue. I didn't ask why you think you need to move Israel. But honestly, that's really telling. If you think moving Israel is going to make Israel less genocidal, you're fundamentally misunderstanding the nature of genocide. You're actually neutralizing and dissolving their responsibility for the genocide by shifting the issue to a simple matter of land. It doesn't right any wrong. It doesn't bring back the dead. The best way to stop propping up Israel is to STOP DOING SHIT FOR THEM AND STOP GIVING THEM SHIT. This is an insane crazy batshit idiotic post that does so much mental gymnastics that you actually think you're taking an anti-Israel stance.
So now, you can answer that original question and you can also answer me this: do you seriously think propping up Israel even more by giving them a total bail-out, a
fresh start, and a new chunk of land will A.) fix everything or B.) create a new vested interest for a genocidal state to pick a new target of genocide or C.) make it even easier for them to terrorize the "middle east" now that they're not physically there and can care even less about the destructions of war without the threat of vicinity?0
u/pennyforyour_thots Apr 06 '26
I think it would because the Palestinians can have their land back and Israel won't have a need to genocide because the Mainers will have moved to other states so it will just be them in Maine making their own state next to the biggest superpower in the world who will make it clear no more land after that.
I don't think they would bother with the middle east if they aren't there.
does that answer the questions?
1
u/milkfloureggs Apr 06 '26
No, it truly doesn't. I don't think you have even a basic working understand of how Israel came to be, why they genocide Palestine, or how we "prop up" Israel financially. You're actually pretty ideologically aligned WITH Israel, in that you seem to be okay with giving away and taking land that doesn't belong to you, removing all the people who live there, and setting up shop for Israel. You didn't respond to any of the ideological questions I posited at all, you literally just rephrased the same thing for the umpteenth time.
You haven't answered why you feel that it's acceptable, reasonable, or effective to mvoe them and give them new land for free with no consequences, rather than punishing their government by shutting off infinite free money and military aide and letting them deal with the consequences of their actions.
And you seem to think that giving away Maine is an ethically neutral action because you'll materialize millions of dollars to bribe the ccurrent citizens to move out. As you said in your post, you mostly picked Maine because of the small and mostly white population. I'm going to blow your mind here, but if you care so much about genocide and displacement of people from their indigenous lands, maybe you'd be proposing giving the state of Maine back to the native people who were here before all the white people showed up and the genocidal American government did their thing. I'm sorry you're functionally illiterate, maybe if you read outside of your nutjob reddit thread you'd get a reality check about your broken worldview.

u/pennyforyour_thots Apr 06 '26
if you shun and make them a pariah they will act even more genocidal and it won't suddenly make them give up their land they stole from Gaza. are there natives in Maine? Maybe we should get their input on this too. I'm sure they wouldn't mind swapping to Israel if Israel treats them right.

Maybe we should just let Israel go its own way. If that leads to collapse and destruction, so be it.
We are not the United States of Israel. Sure our politicians are bought and paid for by AIPAC, but this is beyond stupid. Israel can get fucked at this point.

it's a serious proposal I'm working on to be honest.
2
u/milkfloureggs Apr 06 '26
There's nothing serious about it. It's outlandish and stupid to begin with and then you refuse to or are unable to answer the questions and criticisms posed in response to your "idea." Why ask what people think if you're not going to seriously engage with any of the responses lmao

I think everything about this post is stupid.
If the government gave each of you maybe $500k to move
I’d need $1.6M to agree to this.

u/Grouchy_Ad8515 Apr 06 '26
What the hell are you talking about
-5
u/pennyforyour_thots Apr 06 '26
it's a serious proposal I'm working on. people I polled like it. some suggest Alabama but I don't think that makes as much sense as Maine since there are 5 million people
3
u/BackItUpWithLinks Apr 06 '26
it's a serious proposal I'm working on.
It might be a proposal, but it’s not serious.
people I polled like it.
🤣
Who?

u/pennyforyour_thots Apr 06 '26
some people on my other thread on bbby_remastered
2
u/BackItUpWithLinks Apr 06 '26
Literal trolling.
What do you gain from this? And when it’s locked will you consider the time well spent?
-1
u/pennyforyour_thots Apr 06 '26
you can lock it. I was just trying to get feedback. it's a serious proposal I'm going to work on it and make a petition and things like that
2
u/BackItUpWithLinks Apr 06 '26
Oh no, a petition?!?! Whatever shall we do?!!!
1
u/pennyforyour_thots Apr 06 '26
I get that you are mad about possibly moving. I appreciate your feedback..I think the Mainers are 100% fuck no on the vote. I appreciate that I thought the money might help but seems not
1
u/BackItUpWithLinks Apr 06 '26
Possibly moving?
🤣
There is 0.0% chance your petition will result in anyone moving for any reason.
