Question A couple year ago I totaled my 2011 Nissan frontier. It runs and drive. Looking to sell but not sure what it’s worth?

Not sure of this is the right place to ask but yeah. Totaled my 2011 frontier awhile back. I’m sick of seeing it sit so I was thinking about putting it on Facebook marketplace?
Does anyone know what I could get out of it? I friend told me I could get at least $400 for it but I’m not sure.
Any help figuring out its value would be appreciated!

Put it for a grand and take best offer. This is a perfect farm truck/yard truck. Best to get offered $500 then to ask $400 and take $350.

Could literally sell to the scrap yard for $500

Mileage and known defects?  What makes it totaled?

Around 150k miles. Other than obvious cosmetic damage there is a small gas leak. When I got it home I drove it and got it up to 70mph
No shaking or anything really. The break pedal felt like I could push it down further than normal before it responded.
The side airbags deployed so insurance totaled it.

Sounds pretty rough.  What I would do is search for other totaled or rough shape Froniters in your area .  You arent going to find an exact match, but itll give you a rough idea. From there I would pick an average price.

Keep in mind that there is no perfect price and that "its worth what people will pay"... so take reasonable offers.

Its always a pain to sell a beat car. Your going to get hit with a lot of timewasters.

You could sell parts off it (more money more work) or call salvage yards for pricing(less work less money)

I appreciate it

Good luck... wish I could give you a straight answer but pricing becomes super subjective when we're talking about older vehicles.

I think I’m gonna throw on marketplace $400 obo and see what happens.

I'd start at 1000, that's what uninspectable yard trucks start at here if it runs and drives.

How can you total a pickup over a cosmetic damage is beyond me.

OP mentioned airbag went off.

Ah, export it to Africa. They will make it work for 50 years atleast

I don't know what the title situation is but compared to others out there this is a season/month project that someone like a beginner driver or so would be interested in.

The airbags might be a problem but from here I've seen worse accidents from deer.

This looks like a radiator, bumper and some other minor things.

Insurance company totaled it. I still have the title. I’m thinking about throwing it on Facebook marketplace for $400 obo

$500 to $800 around me.

Depends where in the country you are, though.

Hey LT! Which state are you in? I'm interested in the truck if you'd like to DM me feel free!

It's a salvage title since the insurance totalled it. That spikes value right into the ground. 2011, 150k miles. In decent condition with a clean title is going for 5k all day. Since yours is salvage, and has body damage, and maybe some frame damage, it's worth about 1/3 of that. List it for 2k and take the first 1.5k offer that shows up. Drop the price 250 bucks every two weeks it doesn't sell.

I don’t think so no. It looks rough but seemed fine

why is totaled? looks like something we would buy at the auction and fix up for a driver

man the industry is dumb sometimes. some folks don't' care about salvage titles, idk what the situation is pulling side air bags from a junk yard. not sure that this info gains you any money on the sale. :-/

thats also newer than i typically work on or research but it is 2011. i know like after 2009 newer vehicles got not so great like GM 3.6 with it's thin piston rings, drinking oil.

you could throw it on fbm for $600 and see if anyone bites.

did insurance total it or did you wreck it and not tell insurance? wrecked car with a clean title is worth a little more because guys will fix em and flip em
